Are you saying student 9’s and neighborhood 9’s haven’t been part of previous years attendance figures?
They have but there’s more availability this year and more sections available (not just SRO as in the beginning)

Update: Right now averaging 31,257.
Ended up at 32,989. Slightly (1.8%) above last year even with the 5 week swoon.

Thus, things picked up after May as usual but surely didn’t get to the 34,000 level (or meet the doomsday predictions).

The start of '24 will be interesting. Two things working against them:

- The usual lousy April weather
- A general apathy and distrust from the fans (well deserved, imho)

Of course if they sign Ohtani or trade for Mike Trout, I would imagine that would put more butts in seats.

They were decent up until the swoon, which kept the place mostly full through the summer. And this was the first year of playing every other team, so there were a ton of NL team fans in the park all season long. If they don't play better next year with the new GM in place, it's going to be ugly.
