That call is everything thats wrong with replay in sports. If you can call that, let’s go to replay for traveling and carries, I’ve seen them all game.
What can you do though? You can’t pretend you don’t see what you see. Once you make a call reviewable you have no choice. You can’t give the refs discretion to ignore what they see. That is even worse.

Clearly best team? Not really. Duke was better. Fortunately for UVA, they didn’t have to play Duke.
Well, that's happened a few times. That Duke was supposedly the best team and didn't win. No tears for Duke here. Maybe it's more accurate to say Duke had more talent.

Yeah but no. I think Duke maybe had better players and a better “peak game” but there were a lot of moments this year when Duke looked like a collection of players rather than a team. If the best team is “most NBA players” then it’s Duke. But I never thought Duke would win the title this year.

Duke beat UVA twice this year. They were better. UVA was the best team in the tournament. That’s all it takes. Hats off to them. They kept grinding out wins.

Losers whine about the regular season. Winners go to Rugby and drink fireball till they puke.

UVA was the toughest team in the tournament. 3 wins when down 17 seconds or less.
All I’m saying is that they weren’t “clearly” the best team. They won on a razor thin margin with the benefit of a huge blown call. This tournament could have gone in a million different directions. They survived and deserve credit for that.
