So for a second straight season Tottenham comes into the Olympic stadium in May and West Ham puts a huge dent in their title chances. This wasn't the nail in the coffin (and total collapse) that last season was, but Chelsea are in great shape now.

Liverpool haven't been able to score yet on Southampton in 3 matches this season. They've got to net at least 1 on Sunday to keep control of their Champions League fate.

Chelsea can win the league before Spurs even play again. Chelsea play twice before Spurs' next game, 2 wins and the league is theirs.

Southampton come out as they have the last matches against Liverpool this year - 11 men behind the ball, looking to counter when possible. 'Pool looking better in attacking the Saints so far though, finding a few holes, even with Lallana on the bench to start. Milner is finding some space, maybe he can make something happen here.

California. Duh.
Between the early kickoff, Southampton's desire to put everyone behind the ball, and Liverpool missing players like Mane with pure speed, that was a pretty lackluster first half.

Have to think Lallana comes on for Lucas soon.

Goddamn. Milner had been perfect from the spot this season. Ugh. That handball was a bailout and a half. Pool have to find something here, bring on Lallana and maybe Sturridge.

Just a shitshow all around. Watching Liverpool against anything outside of the top six is an exercise in frustration. They have nothing to unlock 11 man defenses with any consistency, so that's what teams do. Totally effective.

Substitutions feel far too late.

God, Coutinho has been awful. Every leading pass has slowed or stopped its target. That latest to Sturridge in the break was especially frustrating.

Btw I still think a draw gets you in top 4 comfortably. I just can't see us taking 10 points from our last 4 fixtures. Not with Arsenal and Tottenham away with our focus on Europa.

It's a wonder that United can even field a team, having to go with these cheap, unproven players like Martial, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Rooney, and Carrick.

Yeah, it's not ManU that Liverpool has to worry about jumping in and taking away a top 4 spot.

Kind of incredible that just 7 points separate West Brom in 8th (with 45), one position out of a Europe slot, and Crystal Palace in 16th (with 38), still not past relegation fears. Really is a two-division division.
