I am away so I will just be able to provide a quick overview.  Take the link to see the data.

FO's Playoff odds through week 16:  http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/playoffodds

Pats make the AFCCG in 73.6% of the sims, win the AFCCG in 45.7% of the sims and win the SB 25.9% of the time.

The likely playoff scenario based on their sims:

AFC:

1) NE 100%
2) Den 96.7%
3) Pit 69.1% (Cincy @ 27.7%)
4) Indy 100%
5) Cincy 69.1% (Pit @ 30.9%)
6) Balt 54.8% (SD @ 32.3%)

NFC:

1) Sea 69.8%(GB @ 21.6%, Det @ 7.9%)
2) GB 50% (Sea and Dal @ 22.5%, Det @ 20.5%)
3) Dal 77.5% (Sea @ 22.5%)
4) Atl 66.8% (Car @ 33.2%)
5) Ari 92.3% (Sea @ 7.7%)
6) Det 72.6% (GB @ 28.4%)

FO's DVOA through week 16:  http://www.footballoutsiders.com/dvoa-ratings/2014/week-16-dvoa-ratings

Pats (24.9%) are 3rd behind Denver (29.2%) and Seattle (28.9%) in Total DVOA but well ahead in Weighted (NE = 35.8%, Sea = 29.1%, Den = 24.3%).  Offense, Defense and Special Teams are all ranked in the top ten (6th, 9th and 6th respectively).  They are the only team in the NFL with this distinction.  Balt is close @ 11th, 8th and 1st.  Both Sea and Den STs are in the bottom half of the league.

73.6% to win the Division round seems quite low to me, and I'd have the Pats odds to win the AFC closer to 65%-70%. I don't think any AFC team has a better than 20% chance to win in Foxboro.

Vegas would probably disagree with you. Being a TD favorite is about 70% chance to win, and I doubt pats get anyone to lay more than 7. I am a huge pats fan and I would be buying +7.5 on any team that can make the playoffs

Discounting today's game, for obvious reasons, the Pats won their 7 home games by an average of 18 points, including huge wins over the 2 and 3 or 5 seed. They also kicked the crap out of the 4 seed on the road. You would take any AFC playoff team +7.5?

Put differently, wilked, I will happily stake $20 to the Jimmy Fund on the Patriots -7.5, regardless of their Divisional opponent.  Let me know if you're buying the other side of that.
