Just tuned in to see that you can now skate face first into the chest-high shaft of somebody's stick and draw a high-sticking call.
That was clearly and unequivocally a high stick. No brainer penalty and Backes is responsible for controlling his stick.

Skating in mud anytime they have to fight for a puck.

Only chance is to just keep Toronto out of the zone entirely.

They’ve been their 2nd best line tonight.
Don’t agree. That had a good shift a minute ago but in total when they are on the ice they are getting out shot 5-1, out chanced 4-1 and out scored 1-0. They’re struggling.

Awesome play by McAvoy on that zone entry by the Leafs. Kapanen had Chara toasted and McAvoy got over and covered for him.

I guess but the other two lines feel as bad or worse imo. Only the Krejci line has had consistent pressure.

They aren’t winning this series if they don’t toughen the fuck up. Just a pisspoor effort all night. Soft as hell in two of three games. No fucking excuse.

right here
Refs have totally changed the way they have called things with that last 2 calls. Just hope the hockey gods even it out on the score board
