5th game of the season that I attended with my oldest (12yo) son. He's 4 and 1 on the season. First game of the year (W over SJ) and we get home later that night and he goes to change for bed and realizes he had his underwear on backwards the whole day. We joke about how the Bs won so next game he'll have to remember to do the same thing. Next game comes around, he/we forget about it until later that night, which of course they lost. Damn, our fault, no big deal, we'll remember next time. We did remember, the next two regular season games, for two wins. 3-1 on the season for him, 3-0 with underwear backwards. Enter last night, I asked him, you know what you have to do. He marched up stairs, and we were ready to go. After the first goal to go down 1-0, I ask him how he feels. A little uncomfortable, but they got this. He battled it out and you all know the result.
I'm trying to get his mom to accept a mother's day present of tickets to the game tomorrow. Probably have a better chance of sending him in on the train alone.
