I’m not even pissed, I’m just disappointed that they did what they needed to do offensively and they got let down by the same guys repeatedly on defense and in goal tonight. When you are up a goal two separate times in the last 12 minutes, you need to win that game. Horribly disappointing for a team that won with goaltending and defense all year.
And yet, Monty kept throwing them out there. Dude is a joke.

The decision to stick with Ullmark is horrific, but there's been countless turnovers and defensive fuck ups all series.

Even if we pull out the win on Sunday those mistakes don't fill me with confidence going forward.

Lindholm has been completely awful all series, too. All of the defensemen have, with the exception of a few gorgeous passes by Orlov.

Montgomery is fucking paralyzed. I’ve never seen anything like it.
It's 2003 Grady Little. "Paralyzed" is exactly correct.

They are going to get absolutely embarrassed in Game 7.
This is a real possibility.

To other posters' points....yes we can blame Monty...fine with me. But the players really need to look themselves in the mirror. There's been a ton of mistakes, hesitation, and yes, choking. They haven't played well. They're on the verge of blowing a 3-1 lead in the series, and losing a first round series to a team that went 42-40 on the season (8 OT losses) after having the best regular season in the history of the league.

The players need to wake up. Monty needs to wake up. And yes, they'll need to get some good puck luck (seemingly every crazy bounce of the puck this series has resulted in a goal for Florida; that might not be true but it sure feels that way).

The Ullmark turning into a pumpkin in the playoffs was a pretty big concern I had. I didn't see it being this bad though.

Your assumption is that they don't agree with the moves. I'm not sure about that
Yeah, this front office doesn’t sit back and fully defer to the coach. Sweeney and Neleg are 100% on board with the Forbort experience. Not pulling Ullmark after at least the 2nd is all on Monty. Gradyesq

I think they wasted too much energy on getting 65 wins and the points record. They're mentally and physically fried. All that matters is making the playoffs -- either you do or you don't.

Bruins game 7 history against American teams is bleak. A bunch of wins against Toronto, Montreal, and of course Vancouver, but the 2011 Tampa win is the only G7 win against a U.S. team since 1992.

Sorry just trying to get all the negativity out there so the only thing left is an empty shell of a man devoid of feeling.

Because Forbort is playing? Because he let Ullmark stay in net for SIX goals?
Going Ullmark six in a row injured after swapping out goalies all year to tremendous success, with the best backup goalie in the league BY FAR. This is total insanity.

They managed to replace a mediocre playoff coach with an abysmal one. Nice work!

This would be 100 times worse than any Leafs choke job including the one they are going to pull this season. We're talking 2004 MFY level here.

Forbort sucks for sure but Lindholm and Orlov are playing soft on the puck. They shouldn’t get a pass.

G7 is a Bergeron and Pasta show. Just advance. Parade is going to be outstanding.

That has nothing to do with it. The playoffs are all about match ups, game planing for one team, and most importantly goaltending. The series flipped when Lyon was pulled and Tkachuk made Ullmark lose his mind (and probably aggravate that injury he was dealing with).

After losing two in a row 12 and 15 March, the Bruins finished the season 15-1. Guess how many of those games Forbort played in? One. Foligno played in zero. Swayman was 8-0. Ullmark 7-1. Ullmark played two in a row once (L March 28 and W March 30).

There’s the fucking answer right there.

I'm just not watching. I refuse to put myself through one of the biggest choke jobs in history
I hate to say it. But I think this may be where I’m at.

it’s going to be a rainy weekend here so I’ll likely be inside and watching … but I’d rather not put myself through the stress and find out if they made it to the second round or not some other way.

Even if they win on Sunday. I don’t think they can make it all the way after the last 2 games.

They’re toast. I don’t see any way they win on Sunday.
I can see them winning pretty easily. But I can't see them winning the Stanley Cup, UNLESS Swayman puts this team on his back.

But first we need a competent coaching coaching thought to make that decision.

Jesus Christ. The team that won the SC in 2011 had 3 game 7’s. This team has had a great year and I’m sure watching Sunday.

For real. They changed everything that worked for 82 games and created a fucking disaster.

This. They over thought the whole thing and changed to what they thought a good playoff team would be, instead of just doing what they were great at all season.

Oh I don’t think they are relevant, but they will do it all the same.
Yeah, but here's the point: nobody fucking cares. It's pro wrestling -- fodder for the simplest of simple minds. They say shit that causes simpletons to tune in and give them attention that equals . . . wait for it ... money.

Lindholm punting the puck into the stand under no pressure just about sums up this series at times.

There’s no comparison between those two teams. This team has so much more talent than the Panthers it’s painful, but they can’t handle any setback whatsoever. They have zero resilience.

They scored 5 goals. The problem was the guy who gave up 6. Same problem as game 5.
It’s literally all about Ullmark turning into a pumpkin, and Montgomery refusing to go to Swayman. And honestly, I think Swayman would LOVE being thrown in there for game 7. I bet Ullmark is dreading it.

I disagree. They battled back from 6 different one-goal deficits in the past two games. They are battling their asses off but getting no help on the back end the last two games.
