Weirdly in the history of Game 7 deciders in Boston, all of them have been against just two cities: LA and StL. All but one have ended well.
1957 Celts over StL Hawks
1960 Celts over StL Hawks
1962 Celts over LAL
1966 Celts over LAL
1967 StL Cards over Sox
1984 Celts over LAL
2019 v StL Blues

edit: should have said deciders in the Championship Finals
1975 World Series Cincinnati Reds over Red Sox

Carlton said we won that series 3 games to 4, so shush.

Here's hoping we're pinning another Game 7 thread to the top of the forum come Thursday. Just for funsies, I'm gonna read through the old one.

Brilliant 4 goal 3rd period with the season on the line!

Amazing that this is the first 7th game in Boston in Bruin's history

Basically, this has turned into a great series

Dale Arnold's gonna be so wired tomorrow on 'EEI
Down 4-1 in the 3rd period to the Maple Leafs in game 7 at Boston doesn’t count?

I believe the key element being left out here is Game 7 Stanley Cup. There have been many, many, many playoff Game 7s in Boston - none in the finals, though.
Missed the point of this entirely - I thought you all were talking about the multiple references to "Never been a Game 7 in Boston until now."

Is it safe for my heart to be pounding like this some 44 hours in advance of puck drop?

Was just trolling through the 2011 thread because, well, why not, and found this gem:
Always remember that these are the Good Old Days of Boston sports; soak up every second of it folks, we aren't likely to see a run of success across all 4 sports like this again.
That was 8 years ago and the run is still going. One win away from 3 out of the 4 major teams winning multiple titles within the last decade. Fucking unreal.
