i wasn’t expecting a game thread start with Emily Dickinson giving me the chills and making the hair on the back of my neck stand up but here we are. Lfg.
I have a dumb rehearsal dinner thing tonight and will miss most of this. Good luck and Godspeed to you all.

It's time for the Bruins to remember that they are on HOME ICE, which means advantages in line changes and a raucous home crowd providing energy. I'm sick of them losing in the Garden. It's time to WIN.

That is all.

Before the ice is in the pools—
Before the skaters go,
Or any check at nightfall
Is tarnished by the snow—

Before the fields have finished,
Before the Christmas tree,
Wonder upon wonder
Will arrive to me!

What? Over?
Nothing is over until the Bruins decide it is!
Was it over when they went down 3-1 to the Sabres? HELL NO
<Sabres? Forget it, he’s rolling>
And it ain’t over now.
Cause when the going gets tough…The Bruins get going
Who’s with me? LET’S FUCKING GO! COME ON!
What happed to the Bruins I used to know? Where’s the spirit, where’s the guts?
This could be the greatest night of their lives.
“Oh, but we’re afraid of the Panthers. We might lose”
WELL JUST KISS MY ASS FROM NOW ON!
Not Marchand, he’s not going to take this!
Tkachuk? HE’S A DEAD MAN!
Bennett? DEAD!
Maurice? DEAD!

How shall we define success tonight?

"Laugh often and much;
82774
Win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
82773

Earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
Brad Marchand punch excuse ...

Appreciate beauty; to find the best in others;
82776

Leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch (a Garden in Boston, perhaps?), or a redeemed social condition;
82777
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."
82779

~Oft attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson, this definition of success was actually traced to Bessie A. Stanley. Stanley. Just like the Cup we're after.

As much as I would love Brad to be on the ice, I really hope he doesnt play hurt and unable to contribute at normal Marchand levels. We've seen what playing hurt does for the team and I'd prefer to leave the guys who can give it 100% every shift out there.

75% of Brad is still better than whatever pupu platter of Lauko/Brazeau/Brown/Boqvist they come up with.

WIN!

I have about 4 hours of running around to do starting at 4, which I hope to cram into 3 hours and be back home by puck drop.

I’m no Emily Dickinson, but here goes

Clears throat

Roses are Red
Violets are blue
To Tkachuk and the Panters
We all say
Fuck you…..

Here’s another

There once was a team from Boston
That didn’t shoot the puck that often
But come game six, they found the perfect fix
Shoot the puck at Bob near his Noggin

Oh good, Florida got significantly scummier for this game.
With Marchand actually getting hurt on a play that, deep down, the league knows was dirty shit that was missed, I think the Bruins will get some calls tonight.

(I haven't been drinking or smoking yet)

Forbort's useless ass back in the lineup for inexplicable reasons. FML they looked so much better with him in the press box so of course Monty dresses him
