Apparently Peyton Pritchard will get more burn too. Interesting to see how that plays out as most of the smart fans I follow on Twitter (and here) were calling for Hauser

If you think Tuesday's loss is the absolute end, I question. I question not of the Celtics. Not of Joe, not of Jayson, not of Jaylen. Or anyone else you can name. I question of you. Every last one of you. More specifically, I question why. I question you specifically. Because why should you be afraid of the worst? Dare the fears of our power, the strength of that power in the vision for #18. Using that daringness, and perhaps just then it matters less if we are afraid. Instead, I choose to believe in myself, this team, and its hope. Hope, you see, in fear's shadow, that's my greatest motivation. If you're still fearful? Shakespeare once penned in Antony and Cleopatra that in time we hate that which we often fear. We can hate this. Sure we can. But life isn't that simple. It doesn't get more forgiving. It doesn't get easier. As must we, as must the Celtics: With greater resilience and with greater strength. Let go of what we wanted, a win in four or five. But live the life planned for us, in seven.

These fuckers have tried to bury us, under a mountain of shit, literal and figurative. But did they know we were seeds? About to blossom? And that shit was fucking fertilizer, to give us further growth? And should a branch fall off, a leaf fall by the wayside? Fucking clean it. It can hurt more than the pain of the initial tear. But you've got to repair it.

Go onto the end. Provide hate to the city that loves. For without love, there is no hate. Use that hatred, that sorry twisted, gutted feeling as power to control into strength, to move forward. The emotional ties that bore us together can be shattered just as fast. Just ask any of us how we felt five hours ago before Game Five tipped off. Now it's time to replicate those feelings to another city. We shall go on to the end, fight in Philadelphia, with our evergrowing strength and confidence. The courts, the hoops, the three-point line. But without surrender.

This game is not the end for the Celtics. Nor the beginning of Boston's end. Rather, this game will be just the end of the beginning.
Let’s hope they play as well as this post was written

I’ve noticed a decrease in your game thread presence the last two games….this looks like a good omen for tonight
JTB has been quite busy assisting The Red Sox in their baseball excellence as of late. Indeed that mojo here is sorely needed and appreciated.
Thanks. I've laid low because I don't want my cynicism toward the NBA to detract from anyone's viewing pleasure. Tonight is most certainly an all-hands-on-deck situation, and I am here for it. There is no Red Sox game to divide our attention. The Armenian Drinking Crew have been deployed. It's a desperate situation, but we know that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

If Pritchard is going to play we need to be hard pressing during those minutes. He’s too big a liability in the half court on defense otherwise. If he’s going to play like 8 minutes of aggressive press defense, I could see that working as a change of pace.

I’m also hoping the starting lineup shift means we see a lot less of Brogdon.

I think the idea on Hauser is he brings shooting and size, but I think Pritchard might be the better move because he brings ballhandling for breaks, and Hauser isn't much of a rebounder, where I think Pritchard can stick on the PnR ballhandler in a way Hauser can't.

I honestly have no idea what to make of Brogdon. Personally, I don’t like watching him at all. He’s a traffic cone on defense and he’s allergic to passing.

However, his advanced stats are pretty good, he can create his own shot, and he’s a good shooter.

So, long story short, I truly don’t know if he should play more or less

Tatum with 3 3s in the 1st quarter. It's almost impossible to believe that he's actually done this in the postseason already, game 3 against Atlanta. Can't take another slow start from him.
The weight lifting on game days really puzzles me. I mean, it really does seem like it takes him awhile to get going some nights, doesn’t it? So maybe play some light ball for a bit before game time so he’s like in the second quarter already at tip? I think elite ballet dancers do something similar, and they’re not exactly athletic slouches and have close to zero margin for error.

-Tatum please push the pace when you can. Jaylen's a 1 man dynamite in transition utilize that

-If they're gonna put rob in the Harden-Tucker PnR trap him, force bad passes and and if he completes make PJ tucker make some plays.

For the love of all that is holy, win tonight. Don’t let the narrative change on Doc or Harden. Force them to show up for a Game 7

I’ve made my English brother-in-law into a C’s fan. We’ve never been able to watch a game together, even on TV, but will be able to on Sunday if they just extend this. The poor bastard grew up a Newcastle fan, at least give him this.

The guy can definitely be a great shooter when he's on. The overall team has been shooting poorly so you have use Brogdon.

I keep reading this and don't understand. Why would Pritchard play? The only reason he did last game was out of desperation. This Philly team eats up smaller guards so I'd expect for the same amount of Brogdon and less of White....and hopefully none of Pritchard.

I am not sure it’s a good idea, but you do it to push pace and get a defender who is always aggressive (not good, mind you, but aggressive).

The Pritchard thing was reported by Shams and Jared Weiss. The report was that two lineup changes were made for tonight. Rob is going to start (confirmed) and that Pritchard would get more PT

I wonder if they want to put him on Maxey for a couple minutes when Harden is out, get into his handle see if you can disrupt things, maybe push the pace and hit some 3s.

I completely agree that there is no good reason for Pritchard to play and a lot of very good reasons for him not to. That is only more true with Timelord starting. I was offering the only scenario where I can squint and pretend it makes sense.

Going double BIG might be a consideration but sitting White means Andrew Maxey will be given free rein. And I doubt CJM won't start Smart.

The only post-script I'll put on the Celtics right now is that the coaching staff has been seriously depleted (IME, Will, and Damon all left) with no Coaching help brought in. Promoting a 34-yr old Rookie HC with a "lesser" staff has been apparent over the 11 playoff games so far.

Obviously, you don't fire Joe, overall he has done well in his first season but Brad needs to add experienced coaching to the staff.
So thought he may go double BIG, but sitting White is a mistake.

Hope I'm wrong and Smart can stay with the super quick Maxey (maybe they put Tatum on Maxey?)
