Attention all lurkers: If you post in this thread and the Bruins win the Cup, I'll promote you to a full fledged member. Applies to any/all lurkers who have already posted in thread.

We did this eight years ago for Game 7. Good things happened. So it's happening again.
Well if good things happen...I’m on board!

I’ll finally be able to read V&N tonight!

Even that Blues troll, I mean Tony Mazz?
You're right, Mike! That fucker got banned on sight, like a bug against the windshield. Trolling is an obvious exception.

God, just over an hour? This day is dragging too long even though it's been really good. Personally amazing professional news, so that has to be a good harbinger. Right? My biggest question to kill time is if I want to order toasted ravioli from the local pizza place. It's St. Louis food, but if you literally feast on your enemies, that's a good thing, traditionally my football MO.

The waiting for this game to start has been nearly unbearable. Two things have helped. My now nearly empty bottle of Glenfarclas and this game thread. Knowing there are others in the same boat is somehow calming and exhilarating! GO B's!

I've lurked since 2002 or so and don't post much, but I just wanted to say I have really grown to dislike the St Louis Blues a lot over the course of this playoffs, so I look forward to their salty, bitter tears flavoring my beer. LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

This 16-year lurker came to work early so I'd be sure to get home in time for the 5PM PDT broadcast start. I just told my marketing department about the $11K behind the goal, on the glass seats (see the Ortiz thread) because that's where our VR cameras are and it will be a great tag line. I told the crew to make sure they didn't strike the cameras early, because I want shots of the Cup parade passing right in front of them.

LFG!!!

Been pre-gaming in Manhattan for the past few hours. There is nothing better in sports than a hockey game 7. My son plays hockey, and he’s over the moon excited. We New England sports fans have been beyond fortunate for so many years. Three championships in one year?! Who deserves it more than this Bruins team? Let’s goooooo!

Posted this is the wrong thread, but have it in the right place now!

My kids begged to stay up for the game tonight. The wife was against it, but I talked her into it. There are only 1 1/2 days of school left anyway. They stayed up late for the Super Bowl and the clinching WS game. Here's hoping they bring the Bruins similar luck tonight. Maybe I need to get them watching more Celtic's games.

So pumped for this game . . . LET'S GO!

The cradle of the game.
Random thought: In an alternate universe, the Boston Breakers have also won multiple USFL championships during this run. The New England Tea Men as well.

LFG. I was supposed to go to Baltimore today so my wife could meet with colleagues at Johns Hopkins and then go to the game Saturday but I moved the flight to tomorrow so I could watch this game in my living room like 2011.

I've been doing some quality lurking. Might be tough to give up.

Lurker/infrequent poster, but love this place. Watched 2011 from Hawaii on my honeymoon, thought it couldn’t get any better than that but tonight will come close.

I hope the crowd is nice and liquoured up. Need it to be crazy in there.
I walked by on my way home from work and the energy was palpable. Crowd is going to be electric.

FWIW - Laila Anderson (Blues fan with rare disease) was getting off one of the NHL buses with her mom as I walked by, so she'll be in the house. Very cool of the team to send her.

I can’t believe after all the success we’ve witnessed from the local teams over the past 18 years how important tonight feels to me. I won’t waste everyone’s time with a long post repeating much of what many of you have said more eloquently than I ever could, but this team, these players need and deserve to win tonight.

LET’S GO BRUINS! Beat these cheap shotting, racist led, talent bereft scumbags!

My wife’s a teacher and they are only babysitting at this point. Having a tired kid who’s not bouncing off the walls will be welcomed.
