I grew up a whalers fan so it’s been hard to get fully on board with the bruins. Mostly because I already dedicate an ungodly amount of time and energy to following the Sox and Pats. But the loss of the Whale hurt and really jaded me from the NHL. I casually root for the bruins and Celtics but I don’t get all worked up like I do watching the other two. This ends tonight... I plan on screaming at the tv. I’m amped and ready to fuck shit up. All loose items within arm length have been relocated to the “safe zone.”

You think Rask, with his 1.93 GAA and .938 Sv% in the playoffs, is going to be average tonight? Or merely good?

Nooo, I don’t think so. He’s locked in, he’s calm, and he’s going to take this team on his back tonight.

Hockey ranks a distant third to baseball and football for me, and I am still nervous af. Can't imagine how you B's diehards are feeling right now. Good thing it's going to pay off in a win at the end of the night.

Destroy these assholes. I want the third period to be more of a coronation ceremony than a game, a la Celtics 2008.

I hate so much that NBC refuses to show the pregame stuff - video on the jumbotron, banner, if this Ortiz message happens. AWFUL. DO YOUR JOB

Bruins really need to weather the Blues’ push for first 5 minutes, settle into their game and limit those shifts where they get pinned in their own zone.

Win it for my son. He has never experienced a Boston championship. He is only 20 days old and it’s a shame that he was in the womb for the Sox and Pats. He will be sleeping on my chest just like most of the past 6 games.

Stepping out of years of lurkerdom for this.

Leading up to this game, I've been hoping for a close game. Now that it's [almost] here, I want carnage. I want Binnington pulled in the 2nd. I want to hear the cries of St Louis's "devoted fanbase" all the way out here in CA. I want the Cup!

I have a feeling (shared by many, I'm sure) that we are going to see a lot of cheap hits tonight from the Blues, and I am going to be super frustrated at the officiating. I am already getting pissed off thinking about it. Screw them and their fucking coach. Time for another drink before the puck drops to dull the nerves.

Let’s fucking go!

Skate, skate, skate and make these goons pay every time they chase a hit by burying the puck in the net
