Couldn't agree more. It's something Middlesbrough or Barnsley might consider. To use my own idiom, it's a wee bit tinky.

Edit. Haven't had to type Middlesbrough in a while.
Guardian football podcast was comparing it to a mid00s Middlesbrough kit.

Lampard looks like he's had his jaws cemented together.
With everything else Clelsea have done poorly at today, it may not be important to point out that Lampard might do better on the sidelines sartorially than a $7.99 Old Navy T-shirt

it might not even be clean on. Reckon he might have slept in it.

I don't know this, do the Teams get to approve the kits each year or is it, here's your kit, deal with it? Cos this new strip is pretty pants...which means it won't age well.

Lampard after the game on the red card.

"Not definitely. They can be given or not. Once the yellow is the first decision, you feel it needs to be absolutely certain that it's a red to make that decision. I'm not sure it was. It was one I felt could be given or not."

I understand the DOGSO issue, but isn't bringing a guy down from behind with an NFL-style tackle a red, even if it's in your own end? You can't do that...

He‘s completely insane trying to make that controversial in any way. That quote should be “Yeah, we have to just let him go and hope he misses somehow or we go down a goal and regroup at the half.”

His comments are defensible if made at halftime before he saw replays. Chelsea were garbage for huge stretches and weren’t getting points with or without the red. Take it on the chin, make a vague promise to improve, move on. This was the worst kind of response.

Chelsea had a punchers chance on the counter. I think Lampard had them setup well with Werner wide to give TAA something to think about in going forward and they had freed him a couple times.
The red was a red and that was pretty much it.

I think Werner will play CF most weeks this was probably tactical. I do think Chelsea have a bit of a selection problem but Ithink it’s finding a way to play Havertz and Werner along with the others that is their challenge. I think Havertz is a good player but it’s hard not to think that money wouldn’t have been better spent on a keeper or CB

So West Ham announced their side for the Carabao cup with Hull, then pulled it back and made 3 changes after players "failed a fitness test" including a Issa Diop who played on Saturday against Arsenal...so yeah, speculation that we may have just had some failed COVID tests and if so the PL could be in for a fun couple of weeks.
