Kicks off with
West Ham vs. Arsenal

Carroll got a yellow card that could have been a red for a nice sliding tackle to nothing-but-Koszielny´s ankle in the early minutes.

1-0 Mesuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuttt!!!
(close, could have been offside, but how can the assistant see it, if we need 3 slowmos...)

Edit: To declare, Lanzini´s goal should have made it 1-0 West Ham, Özil´s 0-1 may have been offside and Carroll´s yellow may should have been (IMO) a red, but that´s debatable at least. In 20 minutes.

I have no problem with Ozil's goal. If we aren't using instant replay there's no way to call that from the line.

The Lanzini decision was embarrassingly bad.

I don't want West Ham to feel hard done by. They might feel the rub of the green is not going their way of late. Trust in your football, and if that doesn't work, launch it to big Andy.

Bloody hell - 0-2 what the fuck. Arsenal getting far too much joy down the left channel. Oh...Big Andy with a header, great time to score. Jesus christ it's end to bloody end.

and now 2-2 since apparently Arsenal doesn't want to play defense on Andy...

Wow...what an end to the half. West Ham need to sort it out at the back. I dunno if they can play three central defenders - but they need to do something.

In the Bundesliga, Müller was rested (CL @Benfica this Wednesday) for Bayern @Stuttgart.
Vidal with an early yellow and another so-so foul in the 24th. Ref came over, talked to him. And Müller´s rest ended in the 27th minute, as Vidal came off.

Another week, another series of poor officiating decisions that cost West Ham points.
We're dominating the poor officiating table over on teamtalk.
(Yes I know Carroll could have seen a red, but then again 3 inccorect offsides decisions give Arsenal a goal and take 2 off the board for West Ham, also that Gabriel trip).

Understatement. They are toast that you find in the toaster that you forgot you toasted days ago and now just chuck into the garbage or feed to some birds
Aye, but what does that make Villa?

I wish Newcastle would ditch Wonga. Ashley won't go so at least get rid of one toxic element. People have talked about it in general terms for a while now...something's rotten in Newcastle, but there's a lack of specifics. It's filtered down to pitch level these last few years. In terms of players playing as a team Newcastle have lagged behind teams like West Brom, Southampton, Swansea and Stoke for a while, and yet they have more resources, at least that's the assumption.

In the last three seasons they bought only 1 player 25 yrs old or older. No experience, no hard-tested players. Ashley cares more about making a profit flipping players than improving the squad. In 2013-14 they bought zero players at all, in either window. Penny wise, pound foolish, since they'll be out £100 million in TV money next season and have to sell off half the squad at cut rates since none of them have relegation clauses.

Why would you play Ospina, when Cech is perfectly healthy, and we aren't playing mid-week? Between this, and the Bruins, it's been a pretty shit weekend so far. Go ManU......

The 718
Sunderland and Leicester going at it with savage intensity, for obviously different motivations.

Big Sam has his charges fired up. Lots of industrial tackling, which is always nice to see. And Huth never shirked a challenge.

Sunderland need to get something from this period of sustained pressure. Leicester playing pretty poorly. Mahrez hasn't had an influence and Vardy not getting any good balls to run onto.

Great ball from Drinkwater and good finish from Vardy, but what is the CB doing allowing Vardy to run past him like that?

Sunderland just lack quality. They are fighting well but when they get into decent positions they just don't have the skill to do anything with it. Borini has been a huge disappointment, wasting several half chances.

Leicester are forcing Sunderland wide and Sunderland have no targets to aim at. How does an Allardyce side not have a target-man center forward in the squad?

N'Doye was supposed to be that forward, but he sucks and Defoe's the only one who scores goals for them.

Wow, Rodwell just made Borini hitting his own face look good
