Nuno out! A tough season for Wolves, but I am very interested in where he lands next. Will Mendes take care of him or is Nuno on his own now? Either way, I think he is quite good and could really help any number of teams. Crystal Palace...

Not sure what else he could have been expected to do with their unreal injury woes this season. He oversaw the rise of Jota from a £12.6m buy to a £40m sale, and is doing the same with Pedro Neto right now - seems to fit the bill for ownership's goals of maximizing ROI for themselves + Mendes. They also shrewdly sold high on Doherty.

He seems like a natural fit for Brighton if Spurs take Graham Potter.

was he sacked or just going to a bigger club? Wolves were basically a rebuild this season after losing Jota, Doherty, and then all the injuries. Their main signing (Fabio Silva) was a project that was forced to play more minutes than expected.

Think Nuno ends up fine

Managers seem to run their course at clubs, but this surprises me. 3 straight seasons of improvements and he seemed a solid in game tactictian. Who knows what's behind the scenes though.

Nuno will be fine, but I do wonder if this ends as a mistake for Wolves

The issue is that Wolves are Mendes' team - he controls just about every meaningful aspect of the club on behalf of the owners, Fosun International. And Mendes is Nuno's agent, too - he brought him to the club, and when Wolves were on the rise, Mendes swatted away interest in Nuno from bigger clubs. So there is no way Nuno quit - Mendes decided it was time for a change.

There is a report in a trash tabloid I won't link here that Mendes offered Nuno to Spurs. Hopefully Mendes lands Nuno is a good spot...oh, and creates a new destination for Mendes clients.

Setting up the final day of the Bundesliga season:

* Bayern have already won the championship
* Top 4 are set with Bayern, RB Leipzig, Dortmund and Wolfsburg
* Frankfurt and Leverkusen are locked in for Europa League
* Union Berlin is into the Conference League with a win against RB Leipzig (at home, with fans!) in Nagelsmann's last game as RB Leipzig manager, before taking over at Bayern.
* Union can also advance with a draw or loss depending on what Gladbach does against Werder Bremen, with Stuttgart and Freiburg still theoretically alive.
* Stuttgart and Freiburg could also take the spot with a win and a Union and Gladbach loss
* Schalke is down, locked deep into 18th place.
* Werder Bremen, Köln and Bielefeld could all also face the drop. Bielefeld is at 32 points and plays Stuttgart. Bremen (31 points) has Gladbach and Köln (30 points) plays Schalke at home. 17th place is automatic relegation. 16th place plays a two-legged playoff against the third place team in the second division.

Nice to see lots of fans in Station an der Alten Försterei today! They said there are 2000 (which complies with the new rules), but it looks like there are more. A friend's father is one of the lucky ones at the game today. This is a huge game for this team, and would be their first European competition in over 20 years (which they earned from Cup play).

And Gladbach is putting on the pressure already, up 1-0 at Bremen. Shit.

And Kruse just missed an empty net from very long distance.

It just occurred to me how this is going to go down...Alexander Sørloth, the Crystal Palace bust who was a big money transfer from Turkey to RB Leipzig, is going to score the goal that knocks out Union Berlin, isn't he?

Wow - Koln get a goal to leapfrog Bremen, but it's ruled out for either a foul or offside (they said offside but it looked like a foul). VAR could've just decided who gets relegated.

Atletico need to win to clinch the title. Real need to win to catch Atletico if Atletico lose.

Both are losing at halftime!

If Atletico draw and Real win, Real win the title on the H2H tiebreaker. Atletico need another goal to make it safe.

Suarez definitely laughing hard at Barca letting him go to Atleti.

Atletico/Simeone get a lot of shit for how they play and their regressive approach to offense, but the ability to build a squad and infrastructure to compete with and beat Barca/Real is one of the most impressive accomplishments in world football.

Congrats @bosox4283! What a season. And Suarez is one of the all time big moment motherfuckers. Incredible how it’s always him i the spotlight.

Not entirely sure if it is due to injury but Pep not starting Aguero in a meaningless final match for him strikes me as a dangerous thing. City need to prepare for CL final but this is one of those times where the ruthlessness just isn’t needed

Saka on the bench for Arsenal and Willian does not make the bench. Last game, so it may mean nothing, but a couple of possible readings:

- Saka is going to make the England squad for Euros and rest for him is the priority now. Arteta already talked to Southgate about Saka’s workload preemptively. (3,500+ minutes played for Arsenal across all competitions this season at age 19. Besides Leno, only Xhaka played more.)

- Could Willian really be out the door this summer? All signs point to both sides wanting a split, but he’s so expensive that I have not been taking the rumors particularly seriously yet.

Spurs start Winks in midfield with neither N'dombele or Lo Celso even on the bench; instead Mason names Nile John and Dane Scarlett as subs. Just shoot me now.

This is so predictable. Rodgers will have watched the film and seen that this Spurs lineup are incapable of handling a press. Get ready for 90 minutes of passes between the back 4 leading to hopeless long punts toward Kane and/or turnovers in deep positions.

Ole rests every important player in a meaningless game, focusing on the final on Wednesday.

Bailly and Tuanzebe may be auditioning for who partners Lindelof though, with Maguire set to miss out.

As everyone expected before the season, midfielder Joe Willock is level with Timo Werner on goals (all non-penalty). Willock is definitely getting number 7 today.

Werner: 2,512 mins, 6 goals, 11.5 xG
Willock: 1,126 mins, 6 goals, 3.5 xG

All I have left is Kane winning the golden boot, but with this lineup I'm not too optimistic.

In Bundesliga 2, Grüner Fürth (home of Julian Green) has taken the lead 3-2 against Düsseldorf, after going down to 10 men at the end of the first half. This would earn them automatic promotion if the score holds.

It’s not his fault he’s been put in this position the past few games but I am not a fan of Rhys Williams

No way Liverpool were going to get through this match without a CB injury.
