Wolves score early. Thought it should have been waved off due to an obvious foul that set up Hwang for a free shot off a set piece but alas.

Spurs immediately draw level off a smashing header from Bentancur.

Wood dinks Pickford, Forest up at Goodson. Lively game, Everton were frisky but Forest draw first blood.

Soft penalty for Spurs, but the keeper saves it. Spurs needed that to go in, as did Son. You have to take the luck when it presents itself.

Edit: fair play to Spurs - a well worked goal at the end of the half.

Everton uncharacteristically control possession and have been active but Wood converted the only shot on frame for either side.

Toffees lack coherence and belief. Jack Harrison had the worst half I can remember for an attacker. Gave the ball away repeatedly.

Didn't feel good about that penalty at all.

Kulu and Johnson make up for it though, lovely work to put Spurs ahead at the half.

Destiny Udogie out with a hamstring injury, because of course he is.

Hopefully this Sergio Reguilon that we've got collecting dust in the garage can be useful.

Gibbs-White doubles Forests lead.

Forest have composure and ruthlessness. Everton do not.

So Ange is gonna get credit from pundits for sagging off, ceding possession and defending a lead like they all demand, right?

Because it worked so well?

I can't believe how lost Man Utd look out there. Newcastle are all over them and they should be three goals up. I keep expecting Utd to find some inspiration or some fight or a bit of quality.

I believe that at one point the advertising boards were promoting Manchester derby tickets starting at 7 pounds 50.

Also, I cannot believe how much better Newcastle look since they stopped playing Bruno and Tonali as dual 6/8s and gave them each a specialist role.

Was Zirkzee sent to the dressing room or did he run away on his own?

edit: also, Ed Sheeran is keeping Chelsea out of the net
It appeared as though he just bailed. I don’t know that it was all his fault, but we’re pretty firmly into “we finished last with you we can finish last without you” territory.

Great win for Ipswich. The Portman Road crowd are full of the joys - it's great to see. First home win in the Prem for 20 years or so.

I wondered if he had a concussion. He ran into Tonali pretty hard earlier in the match.

I've only caught dribs and drabs of Newcastle myself but I've seen a few different folks single out Tonali as the midfield maestro in Newcastle's recent run of form.
