We go to bed really early, so the change in start times has definitely taken 30 minutes off of my nightly viewing. And I've been enjoying the Jeopardy "Vault" episodes
It's hard to say what "less than before" means after only a handful of games. I've watched every game available to me. I'll watch every game my DVR records but it's much more background than at any other time. The combination of the season being not actually an MLB season and the team being not actually an MLB team have dampened my enthusiasm.
The lack of fans is an interesting note. I watch a lot of soccer and there's no fans there, but what's different is that you really can't tell from the standard angles shown on TV. That, plus the fake fan noise, gives the impression of a crowd. For MLB, some teams have just empty seats behind home plate and it's really noticeable and takes away, for me at least, part of the drama.Between the uncompetitive pitching and the lack of fans, I find it to be almost unwatchable. I watched about 6 innings of the opener and maybe 6 innings since.
Are you sure you're looking in the right places?I just started poking around baseball-reference today. I don't see any stats other than the B Ref simulated 2020 stats. Why are those not up?
I guess I see their stats at the top of this screenshot. Maybe the simulated season stats are throwing me off. Isn't the 2020 season usually right next to the 2019 season below? Or am I misremembering? Are you sure you're looking in the right places?
Their front page has 2020 standings and scores on it as well.
I've watched bits and pieces of all the games, but I have read through all the game threads ,which have been highly entertaining and in many cases, hysterical.I've been watching but as much to goof around in the gamethread as to watch the baseball. I've been switching pretty liberally to the MLS is back games which are on at the same time, while keeping up with the gamethread. No MLS tonight so not sure what I'm going to do. When the NHL palooza starts this weekend, I think there's a good chance it will divert my attention significantly.
Yeah, at this point if I had to choose between an injury that keeps Eovaldi from playing and an injury that keeps E5 from the gamethreads, it wouldn't be an easy choice.I've watched bits and pieces of all the games, but I have read through all the game threads ,which have been highly entertaining and in many cases, hysterical.
We're a tag-team! For night games, I watch the last couple innings, after my wife has gone to bed, finally allowing me to touch the remote.First 3 innings of each game although I check back in every so often
