I'm excited...I've got a staff meeting after work so by the time I get home it'll be halftime, but I'll be listening on the drive home.

I like Scotland's chances though, neutral's support aside. Home field, solid form, and Ukraine's unfortunate tribulations give the edge to the hosts I think.

I hope

It's an interesting contrast....Ukraine have been training like a club side since May, whereas Scottish players have been busy with domestc leagues etc. I'm sure the Ukrainian team will get a solid welcome from the home fans. The SFA will be handing out the lyrics to the Ukrainian national anthem so everyone can sing a long. I'm hoping the fans don't embarrass themselves and boo. I think it's pretty close but as far as talent, I'd probably give the edge to Ukraine. Scotland won't have the usual Tierney / Robertson conundrum. The ref is from the Netherlands....he's not shy about dishing out cards. I've just fired off an email to staff telling them I'm done with work at 2.45 PM Eastern. Vet appointment and all that...

Didn't watch the game. I checked the half hour stats, read some tweets from my fellow Sots, decided the game wiz a bogie and did something more productive. I'm finding i enjoy football so much more when i have no rooting interest. I haven't the time to be going too up-nor-down emotionally over the exploits of sports folks.

This is one of the few signs that I might be maturing as an individual.

And in other news Goldson signed a new 4 year deal at the Gers.
