My 5C got pretty banged up over the weekend. There's a kiosk place at the mall that will do it for $130, and I've heard you can buy a kit for $25 online.

Anyone do this yourself? I watched a couple YouTubes and it seems fairly straightforward, but I'm just not sure if the extra $100 is worth the piece of mind of having someone else be on the hook if something goes wrong.

Does Apple do this? What are they charging for something like this?

Batteries Plus is piloting screen replacement in some locations as well, so may want to call them. Since it is a pilot program, I'd definitely ask some questions to see how many the tech has done to get a comfort level.

Called BP and they want $160 and my phone for a day, that and the guy I was talking to didnt seem very confident on his understanding of the different models so I'm not even 100% sure they actually do the 5C.

Watched another couple videos that go into the full detail that the 3 minute guy glossed over: replacing the home button, the speaker, etc.  With all those added steps I think I'm just going to check out the kiosk that the chic from Verizon recommended.  $130 and done in an hour or so depending on how busy they are.  Probly go on my day off Wednesday early so shouldnt really be many people there.
