Um, first of all, Spaz hasn't been an employee there for several years. I think it is possible that he has tweeted homophobic things, but he is no longer employed by Entercomm. So that point is moot. With that said, he is a complete tool.
Secondly, I highly doubt that Greg Hill has ever tweeted something homophobic. He may be a pure-bred right winger, but he has never come across, to me anyway, as being a homophobe. Perhaps some of the commenters to his tweets have done such a thing.
My twitter search abilities are not great so I'm having trouble digging it up, but I'm pretty damn sure he did tweet something calling Gronk "gay."

For all intents and purposes Hill seems to be Gerry Callahan with a different candy coating.

"Whateva, guy!"

Agreed on Greg. I don't think he dislikes or fears gay folks. He just may not do much to support them or advance their causes.

Is it wrong that I'm disappointed Dennis didn't @ Russillo in any of those?

Dennis blocks you on Twitter if you bring up Russillo to him, I know from experience ...if you know what I mean.

Considering I’ve heard Dale rant that he was glad he didn’t vote for Hillary in 2016, your phrasing is a tad redundant.
Ah, didn't know this. Did he vote for the guy in office or somebody else? Just because he didn't vote for Hillary doesn't mean he's conservative.

Other then Wiggy and the occasional fill in by Steve Buckley (haven't heard him in a while though), I wouldn't miss any of the on air talent at WEEI.

I just find him occasionally amusing. Not major host level talent but a nice third person into the fray once in awhile. I liked him when he was on Felger and Mazz and even with Mut and Callahan he made me chuckle a few times.

How much more money can Entercom save by cutting additional talent?

More importantly, how do they get talent anyone wants to hear without spending money? They have no idea how to identify rising, cheaper talent, that much is clear. Keefe is their biggest success, and that’s not enough.

Just because Entercom is losing money doesn't mean WEEI is losing money or needs cuts made. WEEI is only a small part of a huge corporation and I expect they are still profitable, and you don't mess with the money making parts of a company.

Its not how much the spend on talent, it’s how much ad revenue they’re pulling in. WEEI’s ad rates have adjusted down significantly over the last year. They’re also stuck with a financially onerous agreement to broadcast the Red Sox through 2023. The station was a big profit center before and now its failing.

I just listened to a full segment of Wiggy on OMF arguing that Tom Brady should have been given a real big time WR to win since he Gave back money on the contract to win. Having Brady give money back to build depth is stupid and what does a 3rd or 4th option on the Depth chart matter? Ordway said flat out what about you in 2001?

I’m fully convinced they all write out their parts prior to the segment like they do on PTI

to be honest they got me to listen to a full break because of how dumb it was so they win this battle.

No doubt less profitable, but is it
Losing money?
When you’re a national company in anything you’re going to have sites to provide presence and you’re going to have profit centers that significantly impact company wide margins. That’s what WEEI was. They’re a major reason why Entercom is missing earnings targets.

So out of 235 stations in all the major markets WEEI was the one to bring down Entercom's quarter? Hard to believe. Reading about it, it seems to be related more to one off charges incurred.

It’s funny because Fred made a comment a few weeks ago that even when they’re on vacation the ratings stay the same. Seems to be true.

a 2.9 though. Wow.

- Fitsy is absolutely terrible.
- Listening to Greg Hill is like listening to a record at slower RPM's.
- Danielle is just, well, Danielle. There is never going to be anything there that is interesting.

At this point I would rather just listen to Ken, Chris, and Lucy.

I actually like Danielle but this is so far from her wheelhouse. They obviously need time to figure out what they are as a show, but early returns are... not so good.

I tried listening today during a T&R commercial. After a minute I just put the commercial back on

Fitzy kills the show for me. If it was just Greg and Danielle I would probably go back to listening an hour or two per week. Every time I hear his voice I change the channel.

Fitzy, as in Nick Stevens? I used to watch his internet videos a few years ago, and he had his moments, but a lot was dreck too. He's on morning radio?! Oof.

As bad as the Greg Hill show is I'm not finding it all that much worse then Minihanes podcasts. I can't get through any of them as a whole. I find myself skipping forward until an almost 2 hour podcast is reduced to 10mins. Ugly.

Once in a while he and Gerry would have a decent show but on his own it's a disaster.

Reimer was one of the few entertaining talents on the station. No wonder he left.
