I am getting no sound from my laptop.  It was working fine until a few days ago, and then I logged on and no sound.  The volume buttons (F1, F2 and F3) all appear to work ok, but nevertheless, no sound.   I'm very much an idiot, so maybe there is a simple fix/answer.  Before navigating the Lenovo tech support site, I figured I'd start here.

Thanks

Did something get jammed in the headphone jack that you can clear out?  Do headphones work if plugged in?

Trying headphones could help pinpoint the problem. If you have USB headphones, that could be additionally helpful.

But, no matter what, the single easiest and most likely solution to the problem is to reinstall your audio driver, since they get corrupted in Windows from time to time for some reason that is well outside my knowledge. Fortunately, reinstalling drivers is easy. Lenovo should have the correct driver for your laptop available somewhere in their support pages. It's been a few years since I've done this, so I don't remember the exact order of tasks, but Google should be able to answer how to do it in about 30 seconds and the process itself should only take a few minutes. If that doesn't work, I've got no idea.
