You mean this McDonalds looking one?

I'm confused. The 'leaked' 2021/2022 home jersey is different than the one @SocrManiac posted from the LFC store. What am I missing?

IMHO, all three jerseys from 2021/2022 leaked kit look decent. In fact, I quite like them. On the other hand, I can't stomach the peach/faux orange collars and cuffs from the home kit on the LFC website. Hard pass.

California. Duh.
Today's game confirmed that next year's kits suck. I was hoping the orange wouldn't really show up that prominently on TV, but it does.

That said, ending the year in 3rd place while seeing Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams playing major roles is remarkable.

8 wins and 2 draws in the last 10 games to pull it off.

Nice sendoff for Wijnaldum. I realize Barca or PSG will aim their money cannons at him, but is it really a given that he's gone? Who else is a priority?

Final points total is unimpressive, but this team has a giant pair of balls. Going from winning 3 of 14 midyear to almost running the table on the last 10 games with the CD M*A*S*H unit is a noteworthy accomplishment. Happy for Mané that he recouped a little form/confidence down the stretch.

What a rollercoaster season. It has both some of Klopp’s best and worst managerial work.

Getting this squad to completely pivot their performances and take 26 of the last 30 points is amazing when it would have been so easy for everyone to just slide down the closing stretch given how intense the past 3 seasons have been and a busy summer ahead for the core of the squad.

but before that...Fabinho at CB instead of the midfield base, running Jota out there in a meaningless UCL tie, losing 6 in a row at Anfield, sending Thiago out there every match in the first half of the season despite putrid, COVID limited performances...

but all’s well that ends well.

Makes sense with the Konate incoming and the emergence of Phillips. He wasn’t bad, and I think he has a chance to be a pretty good player. But being #6 on the CB depth chart was not going to result in that happening. Likewise, Liverpool weren’t paying £18m for their #6 CB
A top 4 of VVD, Matip, Konate, and Gomez is deeeeep, but it includes 3 injury-prone guys and a recuperating van Dijk. Then there's Nat and Davies with lots of reports of Rhys heading out for loan. That's good for Williams. Indecision was his biggest weakness, and he needs to play his way into confidence and command.

But 6 CBs on the roster? Squad composition will be an interesting puzzle for Klopp.

I'd bet Matip is a goner, too. Origi, Keita, Adrian and Matip, plus a couple younger guys. I expect then to buy someone of quality who can spell Robbo and TAA, an attacking midfielder (someone to replace Keita/Gini) who can start as they need to rotate Thiago/Hendo/Fabinho, and a noteworthy #9

Gone for sure:

Wijnaldum - free
Shak £15
Origi £10
Adrian - free I think

On the bubble
Joel Matip £20
Naby Keita £20

Sell or loan if insufficient offers arrive
Harry Wilson £15
Marco Grujic £15
Loris Karius - bag of balls

Bunch of young guys out on loan …

You’d have to think the outgoings would raise >£50 collectively

Incomings :

Ibrahima Konate £38

New midfielder - Many linked. Not convinced they will replace Wijnaldum as they may be saving a place for Curtis Jones

New attacker - it won’t be anyone famous

I’m no British lawyer, but I find it unbelievable that this is not illegal.

In a hearing on 21 May, Goldberg argued there was no case to answer, and that Metcalf was entitled to remove whole “topics” of relevant evidence from police statements, because he had no legal duty to tell the whole truth to the Taylor inquiry.

I think the market is going to be sluggish outside the megaclubs again, and some of these guys will prefer to stick around on their current wages: Keita at £120k/week, Matip at £100k, Shaq at £80k, and Origi at £60k.

Maybe Shaq & Origi would be motivated to take a slight pay cut if think a transfer is necessary to get into a World Cup squad.

I believe Adrian has one more season to go.

Target man Alison and mediocre CB Fabinho are both reportedly working on new deals. Robbo is still at £50k/week, £10k less than his back up, so that looks ripe for redoing.

Clearly Salah wants a new contract, but as the co-top earner in the wage structure (with Thiago), it’s likely Salah has to go after all the other negotiations settle.
