It looks so much nicer out than it feels
15MPH wind at Fenway currently, 26F wind chill.

I have no clue how college players handle it in March with metal bats. I hope the batting glove technology has improved since I played little league.

NordVPN is essential for those of us in-market this time of year…

I'm extremely excited this year, though if you ask me on opening day most years, I would have probably said the same, even when we come in last. But this year, for the first time in ages, I don’t have meeting scheduled during the game. This day can’t go by fast enough, though with a pitch clock and Kluber on the mound, the game just might.

Win today! My daughter has never been alive for a Red Sox victory.

And we're back! I truly have no expectations for what will happen this year... so long as we take some strides over last season, it should be worth staying tuned in. But for now, hope springs eternal. Go Sox!

Winter is over. It’s time to play ball.
My pennants and hats are hung on the wall.

My heart’s filled with hope to cheer on our team
As they begin their improbable dream.

I’ll see memories made and new legends born.
And game-thread with friends - the Sons of Sam Horn.
Sniffle; it's getting dusty in here.

OPENING DAY! Hope springs eternal!

Always love to see the Opening Day lineups across the majors, just to remind myself where some random players wound up in the offseason.

Adam Frazier with the Orioles, for instance

1. Cedric Mullins (L) CF
2. Adley Rutschman (S) C
3. Anthony Santander (S) LF
4.
Ryan Mountcastle (R) 1B
5.
Gunnar Henderson (L) DH
6. Ramon Urias (R) 3B
7. Austin Hays (R) RF
8. Adam Frazier (L) 2B
9. Jorge Mateo (R) SS
Baltimore is going to be very good very soon if they get some pitching.

I like seasons like this. A fun team that I don't have incredible hopes for. If they win anything it's gravy.

I’ve been ignoring it, but my 3-year-old is transfixed by it.
If I was a kid I'm sure a cartoon about the Red Sox would be awesome. It seems incredibly poorly made but also had a pretty impressive voice cast.

I’m with Nip. I have zero expectations and assume this team misses the playoffs, yet the team has some intriguing and fun parts to watch this year. Here’s to surprises!

Hope has sprung, eternally.

Spring and summer are sooooo much better when the Sox are interesting. Make Wednesday night games in July worth watching. Keep playoff dreams afloat until Labor Day.

Just don't suck from the jump. Please.

I’ve spent all off-season feeling around 85~ wins and fighting for a wild card if things break right. I’m feeling more realistic as we get closer to first pitch so now I’m gonna say 95+ and steamrolling our way to ring number 10.

Yup. And they have some pretty notable pitching in the high minors and a wide open budget. This division is clearly the toughest in the league, and both the NL East and West are also stacked, so that's saying something.

BOOOOOO. I was hoping it would be his walkup song
Ehh, I prefer it this way: start a new fun relationship with the fans on a new team.
