Lots of interesting, meaningful matches across Europe this weekend.

Levante is already up 2-0 on Atletico to kick off the day. I don’t grasp all the possible permutations for La Liga’s European qualification slots, but I do get that Sevilla vs Bilbao should be an intense match since both teams will want to win to secure their seat.

City and Watford play for the FA Cup in a few hours.

If Bayern lose to Frankfurt, Dortmund could snatch the title on the last day. But Gladbach will be desperate to hold on to 4th place, which should make for a great match.

Edit: Pulisic gets the start today. Nice to see that he is finishing the season well.

Pulisic gets the start. Nice that he's been able to salvage something this season before his BVB career ends.

Oops, you already said that.

Dortmund-Gladbach (on FS1) is very entertaining so far. I don’t think Dortmund knows that Bayern is already up 1-0.

Edit: I missed that Atletico came back to tie 2-2

Quiet for Pulisic so far. Gladbach are having their wide midfielders drop deep and prevent Sancho & Pulisic from getting 1v1s in the fullbacks. It’s stymied Dortmund well so far, with Gladbach creating several good chances on the counter. Dortmund need an adjustment.

Oooohh, Frankfurt levels.

Edit: then Bayern pumps in 2 within 8 minutes. Don’t poke the bear, I suppose.

Second edit: I missed that Pulisic assisted on Reus’ counterattack goal. Looks like Dortmund will finish second, but Pulisic goes out in good form to end his time in Germany.

Bayern running away with it and got goals for Ribery and Robben in their last games with the club. Ribery ripped his shirt off then hugged the ref before getting his yellow card and I thought that was funny

Ribery ends his Bayer career with a classic goal in the Ribery-style: cuts in from the left, beats two defenders, and then pops a finish over the keeper. All these years on, and that move still works. Beautifully honed skill.

Robben, never one to be overshadowed, nets his goal and narrowly missed a second when it barely tips off the keeper’s foot.

Leverkusen takes the 4th Champions League slot, which should help them keep their impressive young stars together for another run.

Lyon, seeking their 4th straight Women’s Champions League crow , are up 4-0 on Barca at halftime. Yowsah. What an incredible run of dominance.

How about the UEFA Super Cup?
Not in my book.

If you can win a trophy by winning one game because it's a two-team competition — in preseason! — it doesn't deserve to be on the same level as the national league, or domestic + international cup competitions.

Big day in Serie A today.

Milan (6th place- 62 points)- Frosinone tied 0-0 at the half
Inter (3rd place- 66 points)- Napoli
Juve- Atalanta (4th place- 65 points)

Roma sit 5th with 63 points having played one more game than the rest.

I find it hard to see why anyone wouldn’t be pulling for Atalanta from tiny Bergamo. Lead the league in goals scored, look like a video game when they attack, super fun attacking trio (Gomez, Ilicic, Duvan), never qualified for the UCL.

Milan scores, provisionally putting them in 4th

And added a second. Great free kick by Suso

Wonder if Gasperini will get called home to a Juventus after this season. It would be a big loss for Atalanta, but it’s fun to imagine what Gasperini could do with Dybala in Gomez’s role.

That would be a shame, but I think the rumors are that Roma are after him. Atalanta hold on for the draw, so they control their own destiny next week. A win and they’re in the Champions League. Not sure he would give up a UCL squad he built for Roma.

That must have been exciting.
It was. I had a shitty stream which caused a lot of problems watching, but I let myself hope after that second goal went in. I don’t think Union played particularly well, but it was hard to tell with my connection.

I’m going to try and get a ticket for the home match against Stuttgart. I’m not optimistic I will get a ticket, but I’ll try. Season ticket holders have first dibs on them. I get second shot as a member.
