The Ronaldo games started are mostly early season games when the team was a mess under ETH. Now maybe some of that was Ronaldo, but it was also because the backline and midfield were total shit.

Apologies for the tardy reportage…I definitely enjoyed the overall experience. My companion found the new stadium and overall experience to be a bit sterile compared to where they had played previously.

I found it to be comfortable and enjoyable, but yes, the atmosphere was a little subdued. Some might say that the larger, more spacious (but full) stadium was why, but I have suggested (and received agreement from locals) that at least for last week’s particular game (a 2-0 loss for the home side) the on-field product was generally uninspiring.

In other words, I think the fans would have gotten more excited if the players would have given them something to get excited about…
