Well deserved win for Villa, great defending throughout the second half to keep Arsenal from equalizing.
Arsenal's loss today means gooner st totteringham's day celebrations are officially cancelled for the fourth year in a row.

It's a stupid Arsenal thing and it is better to just ignore it as opposed to validating it by celebrating it when it doesn't happen.

I think Palace are a decent bet to go down next season. They are not very good (somewhere between 16th and 18th in expected goals models depending on the model). There is also not much reason to think they will get any better. They are an old side with only two players this year >1000 minutes under 28, Zaha and Ayew, who are 26 and 27, so they have a lot players aging out of their primes but no young players aging into their primes. They also probably won't have much money to spend -- they were losing money for years and only barely made a profit last season because of the Wan-Bissaka sale.
They were a good bet to go down this season. I had them picked for 17th, only because I couldn’t bear to pick them for worse. Sadly, your whole assessment is accurate. I still hate you for saying what I’m thinking :)

Lol, Pogba, just threw both hands into a free-kick in the box to avoid getting hit in the head. Amazingly bad

West Ham have looked generally good, Pablo Fornals has been the best player on either side to me. He's created almost every West Ham chance and covered for Cresswell (who is awful).

Super annoyed that the penalty came from an Antonio five, but Moyes has frustrated United.
I assume that is supposed to be dive? That was an obvious yellow card foul man, he came in two feet and totally missed the ball, he was luck Antonio went over the top. If there was real contact that would have been a red.

Yes dive. Though I don't disagree that if he didn't dive it would have been a bad foul to take.
It's not really a dive though, the new rules are that you are supposed to give the card for the play, so players avoid the foul knowing the ref will give it correctly.

Chelsea's defense is so bad, but I feel like if they just get a few more attacking midfielders, the problem will be solved.

Brentford has 15 minutes to score and make the top flight for the first time since 1947.
Won't they just qualify for the playoff if WBA wins? Of course, WBA is even right now.

Brentford 1-1 Barnsley
Brentford have got three minutes left plus stoppage time to find the winner that - as it stands - would send them to the Premier League.
And Barnsley need a goal to survive. These are dramatic moments at Griffin Park, which might not stage another game.

With minutes left:

Swansea scored, pushing them into the playoff, and Brentford conceded. Looks like Leeds and WBA getting automatic promotion.

Playoff: Brentford, Fulham, Cardiff, Swansea

Wigan is going down with a positive goal differential, that's brutal. (Great for teams like West Ham looking to scoop Antonee Robinson on the cheap though since he has a minuscule relegation release clause)

Well, well, well. I was about to crap on Chelsea for turning up small against Pool but America's Hero Christian Pulisic just knifed through the defense and laid off to Abraham for a sitter. Now 4-2 and Chelsea still look poor but I could see this ending up a 5-4 game.

West Brom are the ultimate yoyo club. Since 2001 they've now been promoted five times and relegated four times, while losing in the promotion playoff three additional times and having two additional PL seasons where they finished 17th. So in 14 of the last 20 seasons they were either promoted, relegated, lost in the playoffs, or barely escaped relegation.

His sale to AC Milan was voided when he turned out to have a heart murmur*. Heartbeaking. Hope he lands somewhere. He was blocked at Everton. He is still raw and his positional awareness was poor when I watched him, but there's a player in there.

His release is 1.5M, he'll end up somewhere for that, even if it is just a top club buying to loan him out.

JFC he's good. Great first touch with back to goal, juggled it 3x while cutting a semicircle around TAA, and buried it in the upper 90. Unreal.

Maybe Frank might think twice next time about not playing the kid for all 90 minutes when European football is on the line?

Lampard just put in a request to sign Leon Bailey and Ousmane Demebele.

What a rough day for Nottingham Forest. A six goal swing in goal differential knocks them out of the Championship playoff.

Start of the day:
Forest: 5th place, 70 pts, +11 goal differential
Swansea: 7th place, 67 pts, +6 goal differential

End of the day:
Forest: 7th place, 70 pts, +8 goal differential
Swansea: 6th place, 70 pts, +9 goal differential

Klopp really looked like he smelled a fart there, to make my sophisticated analysis.
Yeah that was smelly fart face for sure.

Credit to Klopp though, he's not going negative with a big lead even though it is trophy day and he's playing this one like he's sill in the Budesliga.
