Total shithousery from Lamela. I’d be pissed if I was a Man U guy.

Lamela has always been a bitch of titanic proportions. He probably deserved it. Just wish Martial had made better contact for his money.

Eh, it was a standard push on a corner. It happens every time at every level. The retaliation is always called.

So West Ham are off to a fast start, leading Leicester 2-0 at half.

The much maligned Aaron Cresswell has the assist on both goals, the first on a beautiful cross to Antonio (who else), and the second on a sky ball clearance that was settled and finished beautifully by Pablo Fornals.

Also of note is the new RB Vladimir Coufal making his debut and has played pretty well.

Dare I say I actually like watching the Hammers right now?
The deservedly much maligned Cresswell. The entire defense has been transformed by putting Masuaku at LB. Cress is doing a nice job as a CB though, it guards against his abysmal pace and acceleration.

I knew going to Masuaku was going to be big for our chances, but really? 7-0 over Wolves and Leicester?

Son is having the season that Mo Salah had two years ago.

When Serge Aurier is ripping your defense apart, you got some issues.

I'm pretty sure United's worst ever home defeat was 7-1. Gotta take your chance here Spurs.

Spurs were better from the beginning but I really have no idea how that red card decision gets made in the age of VAR. Without replay, you can understand refs missing the first foul and the retaliator getting in trouble. With replay, that really just shouldn't happen. They both go off or neither goes off.

Apparently Allison has a shoulder issue. He’s out today.

Liverpool: Adrian, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Keita, Jota, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Kelleher, Milner, Henderson, Jones, Minamino, Origi, N. Williams.

How about the Pogba dive into Kane's back followed by the deliberate stepping on his leg when standing up?

Man U. is trending worse each time I watch a game. They need a big shake up.

The getting up and laughing after the incredibly silly penalty on Davis and just watching the assist on Aurier's goal roll right in front of him were worse. Somehow Pogba has gone from being perhaps my favorite non Spurs connected player to watch to someone who is incredibly frustrating to watch. Tim Howard crushed him on the NBC post game show and it is hard to disagree with any of that.

I didn’t think it was penalty in real time but the more replays they show, the more it looked like something that at least deserved a long look. Defender wasn’t in control of the ball.

It happens to Sterling every week. It should have been looked at and I’m surprised it’s not given because we do nothing but give soft pens in this sport now but McGinn is first to the ball and shields. It’s completely legal and this sport is suffering enough already on “technical” fouls. Just play on

edit: you’re gonna win this by 3 or 4 goals this will probably be easier to debate then

edit2: haha ok maybe 2 or 3 goals then

Why does Martinez bring the ball back to the goal line there? I was rooting for him to fall into the net just for the sheer stupidity

Oddly enough I am kind of enjoying this game. Liverpool look very lively in attack and probably should have a couple at least (I’d did think it was a pen)

But the defence has been, politely put awful. Starting to have serious doubts over Gomez.

Kind of reminds me of the Watford game last year ..
