Plenty of time, but the momentum and ‘feel’ of this match has me nervy.

Edit: looks like Jota is coming in to net at least one late goal. Let’s GO YOU REDS!

Edit 2: Spurs look like they have decided to park the bus at the 65th minute.

Emerson Royal keeps getting into really good positions and he just lacks the passing quality to turn them into good chances.

I think Spurs are onto something with Romero he’s been both good and commanding.

They are not onto anything with Emerson he blows

Romero has been excellent all year. Emerson is miscast as a wingback but Spurs have no other options for that role.

Bah. Not unexpected though. Spurs were excellent defensively and Pool were not precise enough. AA had a very poor game and Robertson wasn’t much better. This result brings goal difference back into play FWIW.

Given the simple through ball he played to Alisson right before the goal he may be miscast as a footballer
He’s very good defensively, he has good athletic ability, and he works very hard. But yeah, he leaves a lot to be desired on the ball.

Well, Spurs won a 1-1 draw, that’s how I see things. *sigh*

Can one of Newcastle, Wolves, or West Ham pull off a miracle?

Emerson has been very stout defensively, but he has left a lot to be desired on offense which is a problem given his role in Conte's system. He hasn't been a complete disaster because he doesn't give anything away on the defensive end and Spurs have had enough firepower since the Bentancur/Kulusevski purchase that it hasn't been too big of an issue on offense.

I won’t be surprised (assuming conte stays) if Spurs buy 3 or even 4 wingbacks this summer.

astride the divide
I know the tendency will be to put this on United falling apart, and god knows I have no idea what their back line is doing - but don’t forget to give Brighton some credit. Passing has been exquisite. They’ve capitalized on opportunities. Sanchez has made 2-3 world class saves. This is a club that keeps growing year by year. Ongoing residence in the top 10 is the next rung in the ladder. Very proud of this club.
Just caught up with the Brighton game and I concur wholeheartedly. Proud day for the club. I'm especially happy for Cucurella getting his first. That guy is absolutely tireless and everything he does is with great intent. Just a screamer into the top of the net.

That's wins over Arsenal, Spurs, and Man United in the last month-plus. Finishing strong.

10 total then right? Spurs are the only reason City hasn't yet had a guard of honor
Not sure that’s correct. City have 0/6 points from Spurs, Liverpool have 4/6. If they had both taken the same number of points from Spurs then City would currently have a 4 point lead over Liverpool with them having 4 matches to go and Liverpool having 3, so they wouldn’t be champions yet.

Fast start for Arsenal as Nketiah picks off a keeper mistake in the fifth minute. Arsenal with an opportunity to be a point out of 3rd at the end of the day and ahead of Spurs regardless of the NLD result.

Eddie already with two against his former club. Beautiful pass by Martinelli. Would be amazing to get a few more and be able to rest some key players ahead of Thursday considering Spurs had to go full bore yesterday for all 90+ minutes.

Does Marsch survive the drop? Are Leeds committed to giving him a shot to bounce back up?
