Most of the good ones are Wednesday though.

Buuuuut I start this thread now to mention this: Turns out Adam Johnson of Sunderland might be a gigantic piece of garbage: Adam Johnson arrested on suspicion of sex with girl, 15
While loathsome I believe the age of consent in Britain is 16. But he's still a gigantic piece of garbage.

It was a great day for squads experiencing recent offensive futility.

Soton got a big 1-0 win, with Mane breaking a 387 minute (!) team goalless streak in the 83rd minute.

Villa won 2-1 against West Brom.  Those two goals equaled the number they've scored total in the league since December 20th.

Question for those who watch Live Extra a lot.  Can I watch a game on there after its ended without spoiling the result?  It was possible with Espn360 but not sure with Live Extra.

Yes, you can, more or less. Go into the replays section and click on the game you want. They will give you an option to hide or show other scores before the game loads.

Also, try not to look at the stat panels on the right when the game is loading before you switch it to full screen. Earlier in the year, you could see possession stats as and the like while you were trying to pull up the game you wanted. I'm not sure if they've fixed it. Last night I was holding my right hand over my monitor to avoid seeing it.

Got to watch most of that game. There was a great atmosphere, and Villa should have been home and dried by half, but naturally succumbed to an equalizer in the second half. West Brom looked the likelier side to go on and win it, until Foster intervened. The guy was bobbling the ball all night, and on that last sequence finally made the blunder that killed his team, rushing well out of his net to try to claim a ball he needn't have. He took out Lowton, the penalty was given, and in the 94th minute, Benteke rolled it home. The place went mad.
What an incredible lift, and gift, for Villa. If they avoid the drop, look no further than this game.
And to top it off, they play each other in the FA Cup at the same venue this weekend. Cocky Tim Sherwood says West Brom will have to improve.

Arsenal-QPR 0-0 at halftime.  Pretty even match so far, with QPR having the better of the first 20-25 minutes and then Arsenal growing into things.  Neither side has created many particularly good chances.  Both sides have lost a starting CB to injury, Gabriel with what looked like a hamstring (#ArsenalDNA) and Onuoha after getting viciously headbutted by his own CB partner Caulker, who no doubt has used that move before in other, off-the-pitch circumstances.

Three points is going to be difficult here.

Spurs 1-1 Swansea at HT.  Spurs went ahead when an unmarked Chadli volleyed in an excellent Rose cross, but Swansea equalized when Siggurdson hit the post from a free kick, Spurs couldn't properly clear their lines, and Ki slotted through Lloris' legs from a tight angle.  Spurs have had a lot of possession in threatening areas without doing much with it.  Swansea scored on their only really good attacking sequence of the half, it's their only shot on target.  Andros Townsend has been particularly poor for Spurs, Kane has been anonymous.

2-0 Arsenal through a tricky Alexis goal that he sneaks in at the near post from a tight angle after a cutback.  I've seen him try that tight near post shot a bunch of times this year and this is the first time its worked.

Gomis update: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/31740285

Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis is in a stable condition after fainting during their Premier League game at Tottenham.

Gomis, who collapsed three times in 2009, appeared to fall down immediately after Spurs had taken a sixth-minute lead. The France international, 29, received lengthy treatment and oxygen as players from both sides looked concerned. He left on a stretcher, conscious and speaking, and was substituted.

"He is fine," a Swansea spokesman said. "He is in the medical room. It is something we have been aware of - it is something called a vasovagal condition.

And De Gea follows up with a great save from a Cisse header.  How many points has he saved them this year?

Time for Rodgers to get Sterling and Coutinho off.  Been riding those boys a bit much the last couple weeks.

And Can, who we just heard has played every minute of the last 18 matches.

This is the last midweek match of the season, pending any extra FA Cup commitments.  So either way the load gets lighter.

Spurs almost Spurs all over themselves at the end, but a good win following the LC disappointment. Good to see Mason grab his first league goal!

Just watched that United goal on replay.  What a fucking gift.  Multiple Newcastle defenders were competing to see who could play that sequence the most horribly, then Krul came along with the trump card.
