Will have future value of an above average playerWhat does "55 FV tier" mean?
It is from Fangraphs' 20-80 scale of "Future Value" tied to anticipated value during the player's first 6 years of service. On the scale, 70-80 are top 10/5 types (there are only two of these on their current list), while 55/60 is above average regular/all-star. Most of the top 20 are 60s, and then it's 55s down to 45th or so on their scouting big board. What does "55 FV tier" mean?
This is great. Table Talk Pies are still a thing!Oppo shot off a lefty:
Plenty of room left on the bus. He's the best pitching prospect the Sox have. Fight me.Time to get (even more) excited about Brayan Bello, as he goes 5.1ip 2h 1er 10k/1bb in his second AA start. Not skipping a beat.
SaitoWhy not? The Sox will protect the number in honor of David Price?
also it appears that Duran heard the concerns about being “pull happy” as it was another opposite field bombAnd Duran with #12, 3 run HR to win the game in the bottom of the 10th.
And that’s only the fourth best record of teams in AAA East (20 teams total)What a great first season for the WooSox - now 29-14 and the offense is just crushing it! Another 10 runs tonight with 4 hits from Downs and two Chavis dingers
Not so good.Tonight should be Brayan Bello night.
It would certainly improve the defense.Marcus Wilson

It'd be curious if he made any adjustments at the plate or it's just noise. He's only 21 days older than Duran which seems crazy. He's obviously been a bit lucky this year but he's trending in the right direction. A Marcus Smart who strikes out 25% of the time is a very interesting player.
That's really encouragingAfter a terrible first inning where he gave up 2 HRs, Groome settled down and is currently at 5.0 ip, 3 hits, 2r/2er, 0bb/7k.
It's possible he goes out for a 6th inning. He's only at 58 pitches.
Yeah, the 6th inning not so much. That's really encouraging
Wow. I don’t think it’s discussed enough how unusually aggressive of an assignment of A+ ball is for a high school pick’s first cup of tea. Yeah he got some seasoning at the alternate site but still this is very impressive.Nick Yorke 4-6 with a HR. He's at .294/.375/.394 for an OPS of .769 now.
They were aggressive, as he likely would have gone to Lowell when it existed.Wow. I overreacted to his initial rough patch and thought they may have screwed this up by being too aggressive.
He's got a big build. Looks like a pitcher!Video evidence:
Looks like he's expecting a ball to be hit right back at him.Video evidence:
So strange how his delivery is different. Sometimes he lands with his left foot over his right, sometimes it’s behind it. That can’t be what’s taught right?Looks like he's expecting a ball to be hit right back at him.
