For those of us who read the MLB Trade Rumors website, it appears that they will be asking a membership fee for Ad free content. The optional fee will be 2.99 per month or 29.89 for the year. It will still be free if you don't mind the Ads (I never thought there was that many Ads to be an annoyance...). They list a bunch of benefits to subscribing, but for me I am uninterested in what those benefits are.

However, I do plan on subscribing. I look at it as a donation and nothing else. I like the website, visit it daily, and I'm happy to pay a little if it will help to keep it going.

Standard high school essay writing rules. OP took a stance, but it was worded too passively. Me? I'm probably not going to pay for that, given that Twitter and ESPN exist, and also, most of the stuff on MLB Trade Rumors is just spitballing that we already have on this site.

I like what they have done and will be supporting them. It's gone beyond a normal "fan site" in that they have stuff with very updated frequency, often before I see it elsewhere. There are costs - both fiscal and time - that I think it's ok to throw them a few bucks.

Yeah they write up basically every transaction, dunno if I’d pay but they do a quality job.
