Out of the playoffs and in a great deal of control of his future, where is Aaron Rodgers when the next NFL season rolls around?

Lots of teams are going to push hard to get him. That being said I have Green Bay 1 and Pittsburgh 2.

I was going to add the Steelers, but the Brady retires-Rodgers goes to Tampa discussion in the Tom Tom thread changed my mind.

I went with the chalk and said Denver.

It's so weird. The Niners passed on Rodgers for Alex Smith, and have a 4 and 0 record against the Packers in the playoffs, since 2006.

If Brady retires and Rodgers goes to the AFC the imbalance in quarterback talent between the conferences will be ridiculous.

I don't see how he goes to SF. He'll have much say in where he goes (or maybe better stated, where he doesn't), but it seems as though GB would be reluctant to trade him to an NFC team, and SF has invested heavily in Lance.

Really hope the Pats find a way to get him. I think the best fit is Denver.

It's ironic because you can very well argue Green Bay has been the ideal place for him to get a ring in the last three seasons. If he goes to the AFC his chances of reaching the Super Bowl diminish greatly. I have a feeling Aaron will find out the hard way the grass isn't always greener.

Same. Supposed good relationship with Tomlin, the Ben void, they have a promising cap situation, and they have the offensive weapons to be an attractive destination.
Yes, and unlike other teams (e.g., Miami, Cleveland), they wouldn't have to move a QB to take him on.

Personally I don’t want him anywhere near the Patriots. He’s a sh*t-stirrer and a prima donna. I think BB wouldn’t like his willingness to run his mouth to every camera or microphone in shouting distance.

Re: Denver being the best fit - I think Rodgers is enough of a blowhard to not put stock in it, and the single bye in a way makes winning the division less of a concern than in past years, but you'd have to be kind of a fool to pick Mahomes' (and Herbert's) division, right?

He's going to try to go to leverage it to a long term con after his NFL days. Wouldn't shock me at all if he did something like the Giants or Jets while cohosting Tucker / The Five during his off days.

I understand your concerns. Belichick has dealt with bigger shit stirrers and prima donnas before and handled them with relative ease with the exception of AB. I don’t think it will happen. What would be that path forward? Rodgers starts and Mac backups for a couple years? Then give the reigns fully to Mac? Does BB bail on Mac completely??

This was my thought. After years in GB and given his penchant for celebrity, I’d imagine a major market would be enticing for him.

If I knew how to change the poll choices, I'd take out Miami and add the Steelers

Talent aside, there's no way BB gives up what it might take to land a 38 year old QB making nearly 27 M who can walk after next year. IMO QB is not this team's biggest need. Rodgers isn't "the missing piece" like Brady was for TB.
Agree completely. When you have 6, you're not making all in, desperation moves for number 7. Keep Building the overall roster, and see how Mac develops in year 2. I doubt they get anywhere near Rodgers.

I find it hard to believe that he would follow Brady's footsteps in Tampa Bay. Who would want the weight of that comparison? Not even a reigning MVP. There will be plenty of other opportunities.

Denver has great WRs, a solid young running back, a decent defense, and did it already with Manning.

Gotta be Denvers to lose.

How’s that working under the Titans cap with Tannehill and Rodgers’ contracts?
It’s not. The Titans have little choice but to roll with Tannehill in 2022. They might be an option in 2023 if Rodgers decides to play one more year in Green Bay.

I voted “other” because Pittsburgh is the one team that could offer Rodgers a better situation than he has now. Maybe Tampa if Brady retires, but I think TB12 is going to roll it back out one more time.

I think it's deja vu all over again and he ends up with one more year in Green Bay then splits.

With Hackett going to be the Broncos HC, I think the Broncos could definitely swing a trade for Rodgers (let's say for a swap of 1s, plus LAR's 2nd & 3rd, Drew Lock and a WR) and sign Devante Adams.

Here
What about Indy? Dome, best RB, good OL, young talent, hyper-conservative area, etc. They could make it work with the cap, too.

Why wouldn't Green Bay just tag Adams?
Most seem to expect that but it is not a slam dunk as it will take some maneuvering of the cap for GB. They are about $45M over the cap and the tag will be about $19M. Rodgers would be the obvious restructure target but If he wants out they'll need to carry his $46M hit into the new league year.
On another note, I think it will take more to trade for Rodgers than @amfox1 suggested.
