Man I don't know. I didn't think that was a foul. He was shielding him off and actually got some ball.
The real bitch of it is that the VAR was trigger by reviewing a pretty obvious not-handball and then decided to check out the tackle.

Master class by Toney on the PK and free kick. All he needs is an Olimpico for the trifecta.

Why doesn't Peacock have an actual halftime show? All the games go to break within a few minutes of each other.

How hard would it be to just splice together the highlights from other games?

They don't even give score updates of other games during the game. Is there some reason this isn't a thing?

Will Marsh appeal? Will he be on the touchline next weekend?

edit: Will Leeds not be on USA next weekend if Marsh is not on the touchline?

Maybe Scott Parker was the transfer they needed...
I always found it curious the last time Parker was up with Fulham that during pressers, opposing managers would praise him for the job he is doing with the squad he had (even Klopp did that after their win). Maybe they are just courtesy comments after a beating.

Whenever his clubs go up against top 6 clubs, it seems like they give up right as they step on the pitch.

That is just awful. Not a foul, not clear and obvious. No idea what they saw to send him to the monitor and why he changed it.
Terrible VAR decision. I was baffled by it as well. We see so many challenges where a player accidentally on purpose leaves something on the opponent, but this wasn't that. In Scotland we'd say he sciffed him...and sciffies dinnae count. Moyes was quite restrained in his post match interviews under the circumstances. I was like speak your mind, take the fine...but he held back somewhat. He might still get his arse felt for saying he felt Mendy was faking it cos he lost control of the ball.

I didn't get to see but I imagine you would have taken the point going into the match (especially with no Pefok today). Bayern drops points two weeks in a row.
For sure I would have. I think it was a fair outcome to the game as well. But man it was intense!

I think that UEFA management had a collective panic attack when Union scored. I'm guessing it was about 150 of us fell over because of people behind jumping up and down. With standing allowed in UEL and UCL matches starting this week, I hope there aren't any problems (and I say that as a proponent.)

Vardy on the bench for Leicester, who score 53 seconds in, but Brighton level in the 10th minute. Could be a fun one.

Already 3-2 Brighton a minute into the second half.

Edit: and VAR says nope, offsides after a lengthy check, 2-2.

Well, MacAllister tells VAR to shove off and nets a picture perfect free kick.

Leicester looked disorganized, confused and were shouting at each other all game, can’t imagine Rodgers lasts much longer.

I don’t think I’ve seen Rebecca as fired up as she is right now about the MacAllister VAR call.

Casemiro on the bench?
This surprised me, but as an Arsenal fan I'll take it.

Great to see Zinchenko back in the lineup. A little surprised/disappointed they don't have him as CDM instead of Lokonga with either Tomiyasu or Tierney as the other back.

They need an independent group unaffiliated with onfield officials. If the PMGOL referees refuse to correct the person on the field, or decide to find absurd literal interpretation, find somebody that will handle it competently. This is disgusting.

I think that was definitely a foul, and if they gave it in the moment I would have been fine with it. But I don't think they should be going that far back to remake that judgement call when the ref was looking right at it in the moment. How far back should they be going searching for something to rule a goal out?

Plus that goal was just too pretty to wipe out of existence.
