QB we will not know until he gets more talent around him but as of now is the best player on your roster
RB they lack speed i would play gibson more couild be a kevin fauik type
WR other than pop douglas they need a lot more help here
TE Henry is good but i wouild had trade him to denver for a 4th because denver has no te and by the time maye is ready heary will be on the downside
OL a mess needs a upgrade at 4 spots
DL i am assure barrmore is back next season u still need 2 upgrades here
LB u need more speed and hit power here
CB Gonzalex is good but othat that that need more talent

mayo is hit/miss let say u win 2 more this year can mayo get to 7-10 8-9 for 25 idk

summery unlees woif/mayo have a Tampa Bay 1995 type draft 2 hall of fame type players in first 2 picks in 25 u are looking at 2027 at best

With Henry I think your point is valid in that he will likely be on the downside of his career by the time the team is ready to really compete--but I think there is a lot of value in having at least one competent receiver around for Maye to rely on. You already see good chemistry between the two and you can see Maye looking for Henry on broken plays--his reliability is important in terms of Maye's development.

Tight end is one of very few positions the patriots are above average at and they have Henry for 2 more years. I wouldn't give that up for another mid round pick.

Under. They're going to be competitive next season unless Wolf completely botches both the draft and FA.

Agree with your OL/DL assessments...DL got badly exposed without Barmore this season.

When you say we will not know on Maye, are you thinking ceiling? not sold on him being good yet?

Sums up the state of the roster. It's very bad. I'm not sure how much rope Wolf gets. He has to hit on the picks and get out there and build up the middle class of the roster in FA. Good thing for him is that he can always draft the BPA. They have needs everywhere. I think he went for need in 2024 (Polk, Wallace) and that looks like a bad mistake. The Maye pick he gets credit for, but just about every GM would have done that, so it doesn't tell us much about his ability to find talent. He also tried hard on Ridley and Aiyuk and both of those sounded good to many fans but likely would have been mistakes for where this team is at.

Right Here
I was saying to a couple of friends two weeks ago that the Pats next four games could go either way based on how they were playing and that they weren't exactly playing the league's best. After beating the Bears, I don't think it's inconceivable that they could win the next three against the Rams, Dolphins, and the Colts. The last four against the Cardinals, the Chargers, and two against the Bills seem like automatic losses to finish the season. In other words they are on the lower side of the middle of the pack but not yet ready for prime time.

The thing with this team is that, even with the veterans, pretty much everything is new. Yeah, some of the draft picks haven't panned out. Some of the injuries have really hurt. For the most part, though, the team is dealing with inexperience at the coaching level as well as the obvious with Maye. I'd be concerned if Mayo was a five year coach, but he's learning. Maye is learning. This team, with the right acquisitions, and with a full year under their belt, could be playoff contenders next year.

One of the things with any transformation project at work that I learned is that it always gets worse before it gets better. I think we've seen the worst.

The Rams game seems set up for them. Rams play tonight, then have to cross-country for an early East Coast game on a short week. Which means, of course, that Stafford will have a field day
