Schragers said on BS’s show (not specifically about Bengals) that the covid rule was that if a game is missed it is cancelled and record determined by winning percentage. My opinion is that it seems like it should be the same for this.
sure, but they never cancelled one, they just shifted them around. If they chose to expand that... fine, but also, if they choose to create new rules for games that they cancel for reasons outside player availability I have no problem with it. The Bengals/Bills game wasn't canceled because of Covid, it was postponed, and they decided that not playing it was okay if they tweaked some outcomes. That's a good way to balance a situation.

this means we are going to see neutral site AFC championship and NFC Championship in the upcoming years

the right thing to do was
A make the game a tie or Buff loses 7-3
Agreed on both points, Buffalo loses 7-3 and if they, the Bengals and Chiefs all win this weekend, it's Chiefs, Bengals, Bills in that order.

A neutral site AFC/NFC Championship game is idiotic, the higher seed gets screwed as do their fans, so since the NFL is all about money and not doing the right thing, it will 100% happen.

If it's Bills or Bengals vs the Chiefs in the AFCCG and it's at Pittsburg as rumored, the stadium will be loaded with Bills/Bengals fans, so again, the Chiefs as the higher seed end up getting screwed.

If the Chiefs wanted to avoid this disadvantage, they shouldn't have given up 10 points in the final three minutes to the frigging Colts.

So, I haven't been following closely the past few days...there are still only 7 teams in the playoffs and they are not including an 8th as was speculated earlier in the week? Just want to be sure before placing my schedule picks for this week that some team I think is eliminated is in fact alive. Thanks

Correct. Thankfully. That rumored proposal was so ridiculous from the start...

I absolutely feel for the Bengals here. This sucks for them.

That said, it feels like they have done a little too much public complaining about the situation. It feels like they may be distracted. I hope they are able to refocus because they're a fun team to watch and I'd rather have them win the AFC than KC, Buffalo, or Baltimore. Thankfully it's not the playoffs this week, because I worry about they're going to play tomorrow.

Not that it means much, but they're going to crush Baltimore tomorrow. They were a super popular regression candidate between a lot of analytics/SB loser and defied that. They've rallied around "they gotta play us" down the stretch and gone undefeated in a spot where people said they'd struggle. Zac is not a fiery guy, so when he speaks like he did yesterday it means something. Not to get too into intangibles, but players, coaches and ownership are fired up. I expect them to win the WC game and if they lose in Buffalo, it won't be because they're pissed about the ruling.

Agreed with the Bengals sentiments. The somewhat valid complaints should be internalized for the playoff run as a motivational "THEY don't want us back in the Super Bowl" message as opposed to spoken out to the public.

I've really respected their work this season, although holy crap they were close to blowing the Patriots game!

I’ve been very impressed by how the Bengals bounced back from early adversity this season. They’re right there with the Chiefs and Bills among the AFC’s elite, and I totally expect them to compartmentalize the events of the past several days and take care of business against the Ravens tomorrow.
