The bench is young and *should* be able to improve. But it sure feels like Brad needs to do some major work to upgrade there for next year.

Outside of the garbage time of last game the bench has 6 points in the last 6 QUARTERS on 2/18 shooting. That's insane.

I think there’s something there, but I suspect that its more that they set them at a higher rate, and their ball handlers are absolute fucking assassins at using them.

The Celtics set a handoff high pick and the ball carrier weakly crosses over while backing four feet further from the hoop, and then vaguely dribbles toward the zip code of the screener. The Warriors ball handlers fly at the pick the second it’s set and attack directly forward or into a step back jumper. Immediately, with no laziness. Hell, the ball carrier bumps the screener half the time.
Yup, you can set a shitty, weak, or sloppy pick, but that's all Steph needs.

I hate basketball. Basketball is stupid.
This is why I really haven't been a basketball fan since I was a kid. You have to be able to accept the fact that ref whistles as basically going to be random. And somehow look past that and still enjoy the action.

I just can't do that on a consistent basis.

The team is really big and long and athletic and it got them this far but a next step is definitely adding some more team speed. Replace PP with a microwave scorer who can pressure a D, etc.

Alright.

We've all got our cries out.

Win the 3rd quarter by 6. Go into the 4th within single digits.

If this is the last game for this bipolar team, make it a fucking fun Rollercoaster ride.

If you want to rest Tatum and Brown rest them on some possessions running Al/Marcus in the post. You get open looks with different guys putting in the on-ball work.

Exactly how they jumped out tonight but then stopped because reasons.

They need more shooting and a more traditional point guard for the bench.

Also, I enjoy the halftime show telling the Celtics to come out with Celtic Pride.

Kidnapping Curry may be our only chance to squeeze this out.

I think that they're young (at least their top few players are), beat up, injured, tired, and under a tremendous amount of pressure and likely feel awful about the way things are going. I don't think that they're a bunch of apathetic assholes.
yep, they are down 3-2 to a dynastic team with several HOFers with a half to pull it together

Exactly!!! If you’re acknowledging the bench is awful, which everyone is in this thread, then you have to acknowledge that the rotation pattern of basically playing them all together is pretty damn stupid
That wasn't the best idea, no doubt. But -67 in 28 minutes is... I mean, Ime could have put me out there and probably got a similar result.

They’ve actually been playing Steph much better the last two games at the three point line. The problem is that it seems to exhaust them and open up guys like Wiggins and Poole. They almost did better as a team when they played Steph a little softer.

I don’t like that STH, old
Filthy rich guy with white hair. He’s always too smiley in losses

I completely agree. So again, why are the 3 of them being played together? Or Grant and PP together?

Completely lost their way.

TL knee. Al getting tired. Tatum shoulder. Will be the usual news dump of ‘xyz needing surg’ after seemingly every Bruins series recently.

GsW bench turning into all-stars : including Wiggins finally acting like a #1 overall pick, and ours finding out midnite hit has been a disaster mismatch.

Ime needs some Pacino ‘Any Given Sunday’ speach here.

lot of time. Dont get desperate. Play your game

Yeah.. but if you see that happening as the coach you have to make a change. He's done that the rest of the playoffs.. but tonite he watched and made zero changes while GS went on something like a 15-0 run? He then put Tatum and Brown back in .. Brown immediately turned the ball over twice after coming back in.

I just don't think you can sit your top players for so long in an elimination game and not be asked about it... unless they're in foul trouble.. but even then.. if the lead is out of hand not having fouls on your players isn't going to matter at all.

Again, thank you.
