Harrell and Bertans, two guys who put up about 15 ppg on about the same, relatively high efficiency, Davis gets the bag. Shooting is king in this league.

So Grant got 3/60 offers from DET and DEN, but decided on DET because of role (ie, Detroit he's a starter and 2nd option, DEN it's less clear here he fits in the heirarchy for PT and role behind Jokic).
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that a highly driven athlete would want to be The Man ( or at least closer to it) but man, money being equal, playing playoff basketball in Denver as a fan favorite sure sounds more appealing than putting in work for a perennial lottery team in Detroit.

Yeah, but then again, he's only going to be 29 at the end of this deal. And if he has a bad 6 weeks in Denver he could get buried on the bench for who knows how long. Certain amount of strategic long-term planning there

Clippers had basically no choice on Morris. Once they lost Harrell, they didn't have a mechanism to get frontcourt players other than paying Morris.

Edit- when you are a team like LAC, in a short window, you can't afford to lose players over a few million (ie look at MIL screwing up the Brogdon situation and how it forced them to make a bunch of not great moves to try and keep Giannis).
