Yale is the best team in New England and maybe only one to make ncaas?
Providence is in and UConn currently on the bubble. Why can I remember Yale in the tournament back when Chris Dudley player? Obviously I'm dreaming this which is bizarre but if you had asked me if they were in it back then I'd have been almost certain.

Bizarre season for Yale. Their captain gets expelled from school for sexual assault earlier this year despite no police case and no victim coming forward as the team rallies around their long gone star.

Man, if Providence is "in" then I reiterate how bad college basketball is. Kris Dunn is considered a top 5 pick? isn't shooting a prerequisite for NBA PGs these days? I've seen them play 3-4 times maybe and they never once struck me as anything other than ordinary. and Dunn couldn't create his own shot ever. he's like a homeless man's Rondo who can't finish at the rim, although maybe he was hurt when i saw him. they beat nova so that gets them in I guess (that was game nova shot like 30 threes and made 8 or them or something).

Uconn won't get in. They have to beat Cincinnati and then Temple to have a chance I would think. So no chance. Ollie having to bring in Gibbs and Purvis to lead the team has been disastrous. Gibbs is a losing player, as is Purvis. There isn't an NBA player on the roster.

I'm in "Get off my lawn" mode when it comes to CBB. I can't believe how poor the games are that I've watched this year. Its across the board. That UNC-Duke game yesterday? OMG...so one dimensional, UNC can't shoot at all and Duke can't defend the rim or rebound and can only shoot or lower their heads on hopes of drawing fouls.

I like Kansas. MSU doesn't seem overly talented, but Izzo will get them to a final 8 or 4. This could be villanova's year as they are experienced and they won't run into a team with multiple pros until the FF if at all. So their style might get them far finally. Same could be said for virginia. This is probably their least talented team of the past few but have best chance to go to a FF.

#1 seeds: Kansas, UNC, Virginia and Villanova
#2 seeds: MSU, Oklahoma, Miami and Xavier

I wouldn't be shocked at all if four of those teams are out before the first weekend. amazingly, there are only a couple of first round picks on those 8 teams combined (and no lottery locks). Maybe a couple on MSU and a couple on Kansas and Hield on Oklahoma (a senior) and maybe a UNC kid.

I think this year is anomalously bad. At least I hope so.

Providence is a two-man team and defenses play zone with 2 sometimes 3 defenders shadowing Dunn. Only a few teams have played the Friars straight up man to man and when they did Dunn shredded them. They beat not only Villanova but Arizona also and took Michigan State to the final possession with Dunn and Bentil carrying them. Creating separation and distributing is what Dunn does offensively but it's his defense that separates him from all other PG's in the college game.

Not only is it absolutely correct to assume Kris Dunn is a top five pick, I think he is the third best prospect and would kill to have him on a team I rooted for.

DeAndre Ayton, the consensus top player in next year's hoop crop, is announcing where he's going on SportsCenter in 20 minutes or so. It's expected to be Kansas or Kentucky, Arizona with an outside shot.
