Furman over UVA was the easiest 13 or lower seed upset pick on the board...
Hmm, a team that plays really slow as a favorite, and has generally bad shot charts.
The underdog has an elite shot profile (3s and dunks)......
basically the recipe for upsets

Goddamn it, just checking in after my work meetings...I had Furman until the last minute before submitting the bracket then switched it to UVA. Well at least I am 0-3 so far, still a chance at 0-32 which I'd argue is as big an accomplishment as 32-0.

100%. It’s just as difficult to pick the losers as it is to pick the winners!

How can you throw a pass like that when you have a time out left?
And a 2-pt lead. And the clock ticking down. I can only think of the Fred Brown pass to Worthy and the Webber timeout that would rank higher in the “I inexplicably lost my mind in the heat if the moment” list. Crazy thing is that all 3 of these players were tremendously high BBIQ players. Life comes at ya fast.

This year has the potential to be an epic ACC post-season. Maryland snuck out a win but Duke is in danger tonight against a real good Oral Roberts team.

Maryland is in the B1G now because they could not hack the ACC (and sold out)

I feel like half the country has Duke losing tonight and the other half has them in the Final Four.

Transfer portal seems so much more potentially crippling for basketball than football due to the much smaller rosters

Transfer portal plus one and done is horrible. Player movement is off the charts. I have more or less completely lost interest in college hoops. I used to know every player who got minutes in the ACC. Now I can't name a single player on most of the teams. Part of this is age. But a lot of it is just completely losing interest.

As a Penn grad I am never even slightly conflicted about rooting against Princeton in the tourney. Especially this year when they bounced the Quakers from the mini Ivy League tournament.

100%. It’s death for the sport. Great for the kids that they have more options now but as a fan it’s another nail in the coffin.

Why didn't Bennett call his timeout when his guard was trapped like that?

UVA did get hosed on the foul call right before that play though; I thought the defender got all ball on the block.

I thought so too, but it looked like there would have been an easy putback. Also bad luck that the 50 percent free throw shooter they put on the line made both.

This.

Completely.

And good luck tonight with Duke, I've got them going to the final 4 in one of my pools, wishing you all the best.

Alabama's opponents hit a 3-pointer as time expired to cut their loss margin to 21, and that team's cheerleaders rose up and gave a big cheer. So loyal and supportive.

Epic gut punch gambling loss for Charleston bettors. Useless foul down 4 with 0.7 seconds left brings it to six because the guy hit both FTs.

The line was 5.5. Brutal.

Alabama was an all time gut punch loss, too. Just beyond the pale.

Brutal. Imagine having Charleston and Bama? Your gambling career is over.

Rare occurrence that anyone wishes me luck with Duke, so I'll take it!
You attended that university, so you have every right to be a huge fan of the program.

Duke is like the Patriots used to be; half the country loves them, the other half hates them but wishes their team/program was as good.

Wear the hate like a badge of honor.

Much like the Patriots now, the haters are few and far between, just be glad you're not on that level, ie, indifference..
