That was really entertaining. Some amazing play in all facets on both sides of the net. Never knew the hair rule but it was clear.

I will have to DVR the final though, unless it is quick. Go Badgers!

I picked up WIS-LOU while "channel surfing" last night, and found myself unwilling to change the channel during the 4th and 5th sets. Some great rallies during that match.

I was hoping Pitt would be able to continue to score on Nebraska out of the middle, but Nebraska was just too damned tall and once momentum shifted, Pitt could never get get it going again. (One of the coolest things about volleyball is momentum swings.... you can feel it happening...)

Pitt's Serena Grey had 7 kills in the first set, and only 4 the rest of the way. That'll do it.

On to the final tomorrow.

Especially with rally scoring... you never get a break when a missed serve or change of serve is also a point.

Was that great or what? Not the result I was hoping for, but a deserved champion, possibly the best team that had never won it all before now. Still need 4 more to catch the Huskers.

Sorry for not posting earlier, I had a lot of catching up to do, easy to get behind with 4 QF's on the same day.

Watch some of the first 3 QF's (in the regular season and early rounds, I DVR and FF until one team gets to 19 or so), and then the Nebraska-Texas which was FIRE. (Wanted the winner of that one to win it all, almost happened). All of the Nebraska games were fire when I think about. And then watched entire SF and Final. Took parts of 4 days. Exhausted. Worth it.

Love watching Nebraska, since they usually play 2 DS's, sometimes 3. Helps when you have a unicorn All-American at libero and the 2 others are very very good too. So I was disappointed when they only played 1 to start the 5th set especially how it started. But happy Nebraska was able to rally back and make it close. All 5 sets 3 points or less. Wisconsin was just more consistent and had TWo 6-8 players, a 5th year senior, and a first year blocking everything in sight. Nebraska made the more extraordinary plays and served better but made more mistakes.

Great atmosphere in Austin and Columbus.

Those Nebraska fans are something else.
