Lewerke, Thomas and Hill are legit priority free agents. I was wondering why so few were signed last night. I'd consider Coe, Taylor and Harris as legit guys from yesterday. Possibly Smith, the QB. Lewerske is the better prospect though, he was considered an early round QB a few years back but he never developed. Thomas is a lot better than the Syracuse kid, for similar roles.

Thomas was very good returner in college, both punts and kicks. With BB, he better improve maturity fast.

Have to say, between Thomas, Sean Riley and JJ Taylor this is NOT the off-season I want to miss out on following. Exciting, undersized, underdog playmakers. Will be interesting to see if/how any of them pans out.

I think they were probably waiting to see how other situations settled out, and the best offer. They knew they were going to get a deal, so no need to jump on an early offer like some of the guys who might be left with no offer if they waited.
Lewerke for example, wanted to see where the other top UDFA QBs went. If I were him I'd be looking at NE as a better spot to compete for a roster spot with Smith than SEA with Gordon.

These two Canes seem...questionable. Hope, for their sakes and the team’s, that they can grow up fast and stay on the right path.
Thomas seems to have a whole lot of issues.
Hill less so, he got dismissed for a fight with a Strength coach (which considering it seems like most college S&C coaches are fucking psychopaths I am less worried about than most coaches) he finished classes, graduated and had no issues at Miami.

Of course Hill also seems like a much better talent, which is why he got a whole bunch of chances instead of the 2 Hill got.

The slot kid from Auburn played HS ball at the school that never punts and only did onside kicks.

His senior year he had like 115 catches for 2000 yards. He walked onto Auburn as an onside kick specialist.

He can be an onside kick specialist, too? Pick out the kid's permanent locker already.

What's the team mark for most UDFA who make the squad in a given year? I know it seems like there's optimism about these types every year, but given the remaking of the roster this time around, could we see 3 or more?

In recent years (2004-2019) the most is:
5 in 2013.
4 in 2017
3 in 2019, 2015, 2012 ajnd 2010
2 in 2016, 2009 and 2007
1 in 2018, 2014, 2011, 2008, 2006, 2005, 2004

So safe to guess at least 1, maybe significantly more
