Big brained TJ thinks smoking is what caused Ron Rivera to get this cancer.

Dude proved how much of a idiot he was as a player and that has not changed since he retired.

his take was so appalling that other players are dunking on him
Ron's got a lot of nerve being out in the sun all those years; this is totally his fault.

and up next is Ryan Tannehill
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans opened up training camp on Wednesday with a 90% COVID-19 vaccination rate, according to GM Jon Robinson. It's unclear whether those are all fully vaccinated players or players with at least one shot, but one player in the process of getting vaccinated is Ryan Tannehill.

The quarterback spoke to the media after practice and said he's getting vaccinated only because of the NFL's severe protocols for the unvaccinated.

"I am currently in the process right now," Tannehill said "The NFL has made it clear what they want to happen. If you don't fall in line, they're going to try and make your life miserable because of the protocol.

"I wouldn't have gotten the vaccine without the protocols that they are enforcing on us. I think it's a personal decision for each of us. They are trying to force our hands and ultimately have forced a lot of hands by the protocols. It is what it is."

Everything about that quote is great. Treat them like the children that they are (my 2 year old also hates getting shots). I hope that the these players' [grudging] acceptance in the face of a vaccine mandate is mirrored by the general population when it's required of millions of public employees nationwide.

Cole Beasely is an asshole. The Bills are also assholes for tweeting out his "statement" that has, as its cornerstone, purposeful misinformation in it. I hope he shreds his ACL tomorrow.

These motherfuckers will go to town on painkillers, take every bullshit suplement their trainers throw their way, drink "concussion preventing water" or whatever the fuck else and then draw the line at a vaccine. It's infuriating.

“We weren’t given all the information”

1. What information are you even talking about?
2. How about you do your own damn research?
3. The vaccine was never going to stop all infections! I can’t stand these stupid people.

The NFL rates are actually pretty good overall. I know the niners are over 90 percent vaccinated.

Most of the players get it. It’s just the vocal assholes.

Interesting anecdote from Eagles camp, where vaccination rate is around 90%

https://www.crossingbroad.com/2021/07/eagles-covid-vaccination-rate-hovering-around-90-plus-a-tidbit-from-our-mystery-source.html?fbclid=IwAR3KaZ5Q1XMcWjiWxx4w8PMbVpypwx52jarGsnnRfNsjI4kMuQZZa_QwZ8M

We also had our Crossing Broad mystery Eagles source check in with this information:

“Overwhelming majority of players are vaccinated. I think only like 10 aren’t. Keep an eye on <redacted>. They are not vaccinated… team isn’t too happy about that. If they end up cutting him, we’ll know why.”
You have to think this mentality among FOs isn't exactly unique. Can a team do that outright or is he merely saying the quiet part out loud?

It's really bizarre and irresponsible for a franchise to be actively promoting this insanity. If Beasley did it on his own, it would be bad and stupid enough. But to have the imprimatur of the team itself? What possibly could be their motivation? Do they sense this plays well with their fanbase? I know western NY is a vastly different place than southern/eastern NY.

Edited: to remove question mark after first sentence.

Ok, enough is enough, the NFL really needs to step in and tell them to cut this shit

NFL’s Cole Beasley Releases Bizarre Anti-Vax Rap: ‘Ain’t No Vaccination For Me…I Got Heavy Nuts’
Earlier this week, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley arrived at training camp and read a statement claiming he isn’t anti-vax, he’s just pro-choice. But Beasley continues to double, triple and quadruple down on his stance against the vaccine.

Shortly after his press conference, Beasley tweeted a link to his newest rap song titled Heavy 1s, an ode to his number 11 and if you listen to the lyrics, also seems to symbolize his testicles. “I got heavy nuts,” is prominently featured on the track, along with anti-vax lines such as “ain’t no vaccination for me, only evacuation save ’em homie.”

“To shut my mouth you’re going to have to kill me. If freedom of speech and freedom of choice go out the window then there’s no freedom at all,” Beasley adds after also claiming he’s “too ill to be repaired.”

While the NFL announced 87.9 percent of the league’s players have received at least one Covid-19 shot, a hesitancy to be vaccinated looms for some of the remaining 12 percent. In recent months, Beasley has been one of the NFL’s most outspoken players against getting the vaccine, despite league incentives to do so. He’s reaffirmed his stance in tweets, statements and now rap songs.

Every asshole I know who has not gotten vaccinated is saying the same thing "I'm not going to be told what to do".........nothing about side effects concerns, not being FDA approved, nothing, just not wanting to be told what to do.

And yes, the last two or so years have showed just how dumb our country/certain people can be.

It's beyond pathetic.
You don't know any of the microchip people?

What are these guys actually worried about? I know the common thought is that the people refusing to get vaccinated are all wild Q Anon followers, but the rate in a lot of inner cities is under 40%, so that can't be the only widespread explanation. Just once I would like to hear what the real concern is about taking the shot.

Hundreds of millions of people have taken the shots and are fine. If you're legitimately worried about the medical effects, you deserve to be scorned just like the conspiracy theory people at this point.

They're afraid of needles and don't want to admit it.

This cannot be it. You don't have to see the needle. And you barely feel it. That doesn't explain anything.
I was being a bit facetious, though fear of needles is irrational but a real thing. I'm willing to bet the number of folks for which it is a big reason is small but certainly not zero.

Black Americans have pretty solid reasons to be skeptical of a lot of our healthcare protocols and institutions. It’s not right in this case, but I can get my brain to a place where I empathize with their skepticism more than your classic “you can’t tell me what to do” anti-vaccer. It’s why Spike Lee and others have been involved with campaigns that have targeted inner-city populations. It’s still ultimately a failure of our system that these people won’t get vaccinated but it’s a different failure than those refusing out of some sense of the vaccine infringing on their freedoms or whatever.

The @NFL is making players wear colored wrist bands now based on vaccination status. Funny, I thought we all agreed on the evils of segregation back in the 60s. Here we are again- only this time it’s based on personal health choices instead of skin color.
The league clearly values being woke, not awake. What a shame. And what a sham.

A friend of mine in the same profession as me attended a convention yesterday in the UK; anyone who could show proof of vaccination was given a blue wristband to wear...........anyone who could not was given a yellow wristband, masks were required for all attendees with yellow wrist bands. optional for people with blue wrist bands, he said almost all of them wore one regardless.

He said no one took issue with it.

The NFL; not so much.

It seems like players who choose not to be vaccinated don’t want to be accountable for their choice.

It goes back to what yourself or another poster said; bottom line is they don't want to be told what to do.

That sort of half assed logic boggles my mind.

Reminds me of my cousin who refuses to get vaccinated, his main gripe is he does not want to be told what to do.

Thick as a bowl of oatmeal.
