I’m the last person to put on a tin foil hat about pro sports…but…what the heck is going on here? This is starting to approach Kings/Lakers WCF territory.

Brady never did the slide late bullshit but ok. Wherever you say
You are mad at me for describing what is. I don't make the rules. The NFL has protected its star QBs for the last ~20 years. I am not saying Brady did the same things - Brady wasn't capable of running like Mahomes.

At some point a defender should really get his 15 yards worth.
I’m kind of wondering when that happens. Mahomes baits so many defenders into ticky tack fouls, at some point, he’s going to try that tiptoe the sideline bullshit and he’s going to get absolutely lit up

Lol. The spot was so egregiously bad, like 1.5 yards past the real spot, even the other refs were like ‘dude, we are selling out, but this is even too obvious’

Guy probably replied - okay fine. But I get to throw the next BS roughing call

I generally hate conspiracy theories about officiating, but this game is making it really hard to adhere to that mindset.

The missed hold has the center grabs the NTs jersey and it stretches out - no call. Some coach needs to come out and just eat the fine one of these weeks, just point out how egregious this is.

Mahomes has 125 yards passing, KC has 30 yards rushing, Hou has ten more minutes of possession, and KC has the lead going into the fourth.

Exactly. The complaining every time KC plays is ridiculous. It's like people haven't been watching football for the last 25 years. And it's not like Mahomes is a shitty person. These game threads are weird.

What you’re missing, and why the Brady thing especially rings false, is what you are describing is the protection inside the pocket.

Running around and falling on your ass at the last second and getting a 15 yard call out of it is horse shit

To be clear, I am not arguing in favor of the call. I am just observing that Mahomes gets that call, even sliding and even when the defenders hit each other harder than they did him. This has been the NFL for decades.

Kelce does that spin every single time there's a defender near him. And it's in slow motion.

They should go for 2 (use the missed xp as a free lottery ticket basically) once they score

drake maye got knocked out on a real slide and nothing was called.

This is Mahomes rules not NfL for 20 years rules. It wasn’t even a fucking slide

the problem with that call8s Mahomes didn’t slide—- he stayed high to gain more, by rule that’s quite different. It’s a bad call

That was the most Patrick Mahomes play ever. That’s just an absolute bullshit play
