The injuries will be the excuse but this is a pantheon level loss. Feel bad for Goff but it’s almost all on him.

Imagine being a lions fan. You suffer through 60 plus years of misery. This is your year. You’re convinced you’re going to the Super Bowl. Finally. You pay $1000 a pop to watch the game through binoculars in your nose bleed seats. You watch your team do whatever this is. Then you have to go back to your home… in Detroit. Big yikes.
I'm trying this. And while I'm consoled by going home and looking at my three Stanley Cup rings, I'm confused as to why I was sitting in the nose bleeds. To be clear, in this scenario the specific Lions fan I am imagining is Steve Yzerman.

Goff played panicked with the 2 TD’s he threw. Forgot to just move the ball and get as many points as possible. but this defense just stunk and the injuries really did hurt

He gave up 45 points?
He gave up 7, and his turnovers probably took another couple scores off the board. He's been pretty bad. The defense everyone knew would struggle, they're running out too many backups particularly on the D-line.

Will be funny if Philly wins tomorrow and Josh Harris has to attend a game next week in Philly where he is rooting against the hometown team

He's been bad, but the post said it was all on him ... which isn't true

Too many injuries on the Detroit defense and a bad time for the offense to turn the ball over a bunch (and an incredibly poor trick play called).
Really too bad. Going to be a huge brain drain this offseason too

It’s amazing they went 15-2 with this defense and the injuries. Coaching has to get credit for that. It was eventually going to get exposed as it generally does in the playoffs.

All 16 players on injured reserve as of the divisional round:
Offensively they would have to be perfect to have a legit chance.

Cost them at least 3 points on the fumble
One pick directly led to TD
Other bad pick cost them points

They should have been up big at half, instead they’ve played catchup and tight for 2/3 of the game. The d has done him few favors and I put both the 12 men and jamo pick on coaching but it was already much bleaker than it should have been at those points.

They just got slammed with injuries which is a huge factor. Lost some key guys on D
