I’ve had Mac Jones since early on the QB thread. He did every single thing that Alabama asked him to do and more. Outside of Lawrence, he’s the only QB that I saw this year that would come in and do what BB asks. The coaching staff here is good enough to play to his strengths. He’d be a perfect Patriot type of they do get him.

I hope they take Jones. He is by far and away the best QB they will have a shot at in this draft or next draft. I'd prefer him and his salary over Jimmy G every time.

I'd be THRILLED with Jones at 15. THRILLED.

Only worry here is a Minnesota trade-out, if you're in the Jones camp

I think Mac has the highest floor of any of the quarterbacks but I'm ready to be disappointed.

Bill passed on Lamar twice. Let’s not pretend he’s singularly qualified to determine qb talent. Fields may still fail because Chicago is a dumpster fire but he is a hell of a QB and a leader.
Or Fields might suck. Honestly draft threads are insufferable. Bill isn’t infallible but Ill trust him over you. Is that reasonable?

He's definitely coachable and accurate. I don't like the physical tools, but with the right coach, I think he'll be really good. I had him as the 2nd best QB in this draft, ahead of Lawrence but behind Fields.

The best armchair psychologist argument for Mac Jones is he’s going to have a chip on his shoulder for sliding down. BB likes players with a chip on their shoulder

It would seem very easy to make the draft TV execution much better. Fit the commercials in during the 10 min window. Get picks out as live as possible. Focus on trades and drama. Why do they screw this up so badly?

I know, right?

Even Jackson...he's talented obviously, but he went to the right team - a team that was willing to completely change how they do everything on offense, just to fit him. Jackson could easily have been drafted by someone else and done nothing.

Also, Saban probably gave BB the straight dope on the guy.

Mac is not good at like running or throwing or processing.
