Just a public service announcement, the NFL Network has been showing NFL Game Recaps all day of the Pats season. The Comcast Guide is wrong, but anyone looking for this, it looks like all Pats until 8pm tonight when it's Super Bowl 49 replay.

Watching this now, I'm reminded just how quickly the first half flew by.

I cannot believe they gave up a 30 second TD drive to end the first half. Awful.

This game was really incredible.

The Patriots made a litany of horrible mistakes on that drive -- including misplaying the Turbin run, a formation out of which Football Central and DanooooME had pointed out was a formation they love to run out of.

But give the Seahawks credit. That playcall was just so ballsy. Wilson had a snap to pass of 1.79 seconds to Matthews on that throw? That's ridiculous.

Why the fuck do they replay the halftime show?

I had parts of game muted--never heard Michaels ask for a grounding call on Brady early in 3rd quarter.

Wow. Talk about underrated plays in this Super Bowl.

That 3rd and 3 fade pass to Kearse from midfield that Malcolm Butler adjusted to PERFECTLY and Kearse ended up juggling and dropping? Seahawks up 24-14, there were 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, and if he catches that ball they're at the Patriots 25 yard line.

Malcolm Butler, guys. Malcolm Butler.

Yep. And on the play before that, he had a solid one on one tackle on 2nd and 8.

Man, that play in the second where Edelman fell over would have been a 50 yard dumpoff TD to either Edelman or Vereen if it hadn't slipped out of Brady's hand.

Pats should have won by 2 TD, they outplayed Seattle badly in the first half.

Butler played the 1st down pass after the long gainer to Lynch right on the button too.

Interesting...

They really should have been up 17-7 at half if not for Brady's INT and poor situational football to end the half.

Could have been 24-7, if that ball didn't slip out of Brady's hands.

Then as a follow-up Collinsworth remarks on Butler that he makes the big play after he "gave up the fluke play...partly responsible" for the Kearse catch.

What a tool.

The Island
Al Michaels: "Unless he was drawn..."
Bill Vinovich: "ENCROACHMENT..."
Al Michaels: "...which he wasn't."

Also, Collinsworth absolving the Seahawks for being sore losers is just disgusting for how agenda-driven a statement it was.

What was Slater doing jumping around? I thought it was a joke when someone made the Shark gif.

Slater was jumping around after they got the encroachment call.

Yeah watching that over Collinsworth gets even worse and Buter gets even better.

I know why it happens like this, but if Sherman had the second half Butler did, well, the entire broadcast team would have been genuflecting.

Heh. Maybe just trying to get an officials attention. Because, you know, they wouldn't notice that big fight.
