It's near the busiest airport in the world, so I'm thinking that there are direct flights from both Buffalo and KC. Sure beats driving to an in-between location like Indy, Cincy, or Pittsburgh from either of those places. Good excuse to get out of the Buffalo tundra for a few days, too. It's the AFC Championship, so I'm sure the place will be packed.

That's what I have. And people might think I'm crazy for saying this, but while I expect Buffalo to beat Miami, Miami's going to give them a tough game (division foe, less pressure on Miami, Buffalo due for an emotional comedown, Buffalo's defense seems a bit depleted). I say Buffalo-Miami is a one score game.
Please remind stupid me: if the Raiders waive him, he can be picked up by anyone (in waiver order) who assume the complete contract (post-signing bonuses) or he can clear waivers and then be signed by anyone to a completely new contract?

Seriously, I recall similar situations in sports where flights were added due to the demand such as a Super Bowl where fans only have two weeks notice. Hopefully someone steps up and makes this happen as this is a different time with our airlines.
Nobody should play at Soldier Field, it's a dump and the field is trash, the NFL isn't moving a premier game to a shithole like that. Cinci is fine I guess, but I assume they prefer not to worry about weather if it isn't a homefield game, and also Cinci is quite a bit closer to BUF than KC. Also, either way, people are gonna fly, it's like a 9 hour drive from KC to CIN (assuming good weather). And honestly if you spring for AFCCG tickets you can spring for a $200 flight, the NFL is smart to put it in the best and biggest stadium they can that is equidistant.
I’m a pilot for a particularly large airline in Atlanta, and we routinely add extra flights based on situations like this. January and February are not particularly busy times, so there will be no issues finding the aircraft and crews to make it happen.
I’ve been thinking probably too much about the logistics of getting this many people to Atlanta… 75k/(2*150) is still 250 flights for each team (a 737 has roughly 150 seats just to use round numbers).
People will certainly drive to nearby airports. I came back from Palm Springs on Tuesday with a plane half full of bulldogs fans.

Davis is a weirdo in terms of some compulsive stuff, but.... he seems like he's one of if not the best actual person among NFL owners (a low bar I know). He's usually the one owner speaking out against the rest on basically every issue where they act like scumbags.

Davis is sort of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." IIRC, he grew up being really close with the players and ran afoul of his dad when he sided with them on issues, so he comes from that kind of unique background where he probably has more sympathy for players than most owners. And as dopey as he seems, he outfoxed the Chargers on moving to Vegas, got a brand new stadium and quickly sold out all their season tickets.
Ehh his profile on Real Sports suggested he wasn’t really outfoxing anyone. Andrea Kramer is an awesome reporter and definitely made an attempt to put a good foot forward for him. But my sense was that he was significantly over his head in this role and incredibly damaged by growing up as his father’s son. He has also careened from making one terrible coaching hire to the next.
Dakich seems to have taken up "acting like a POS" as a hobby the last couple of years.
There was definitely a clear snap on that play. Awful timing given his FA status but doesn’t seem like a long term issue so hopefully he makes out ok.
Pollard seems to fall into a different category than the usual RB. He’s a game breaker, not that different from a Marshall Faulk at this stage in his career. I think he’ll get a good contract although I would worry about durability if I was the signing team. He’s best paired with a workhorse back that will take the majority of the beating. Maybe a team like Tenn.
He'll get an okay contract maybe, but only 6 guys have gotten recent contracts with over $15M in guarantees.... Zeke (a terrible deal nobody buy Jerrah would have signed), CMC, Cook, Chubb, Kamara(and that involved converting money already owed in an extension), Henry. All those guys were way more accomplished. If he's lucky he gets the Ekler contract from someone who thinks he can be full time.
Why does Pollard’s durability concern you? He’s played in 15, 16, 15, 16 games, respectively. We don’t really know what his durability is because he’s always been behind Zeke. I do agree with you that you probably want a good short yardage guy who can take some of the load off of him.
