Interesting news for the Commanders. They’ll be putting a sportsbook in their stadium

This morning, the Maryland State Lottery & Gaming Control Commission awarded the Washington Commanders a sports wagering license. The Commanders plan to put a sportsbook at FedEx Field.

So this is how it’s going to be, motherfucker? Ok, ok, at least now I know.
I'm rooting for the Jets to become relevant. You KNOW this.

But Wilson's numbers were really really bad last year. Mike White made him look like a USFL backup. And he's also made of glass. I have concerns and, right now, Flacco is no worse than Zachy baby.

Zach’s numbers were better after he came back last year. If he had learned something it would be nice to see, he figures to have a better line in front of him, actually has competent tight ends, a much better (at least on paper) running back. Honestly I think they could be a fairly competitive team as long as their defense shows anything

So the Bills were made aware of the allegations and they named him starter anyway huh?

“We were recently made aware of a civil complaint involving Matt from October 2021,” the Bills said in a statement to The Times on Thursday. “Due to the serious nature of the complaint, we conducted a thorough examination of this matter. As this is an ongoing civil case, we will have no other comment at this point.”

His lawyer says it's a "shakedown" because he's in the NFL. I guess we're not supposed to pay attention to the fact that she emerged bloody from the room, immediately told her friends, and went to the police and hospital the night of the rape.

I hope she finds justice and peace.

Not only that but he admits to having sex with her and told her to get tested for STDs

About 10 days later, “Detectives from the Sex Crimes Unit arranged recorded ‘pretext’ calls with men they had determined were present in the room when the rape occurred,” according to the complaint.
During a telephone call on October 28, 2021, Araiza “confirmed having sex with Doe, even telling her that she should get tested for STDs,” the complaint detailed.

Yikes. Thought this was being bumped for the Bengals-Rams practice fight that supposedly had Donald swinging his helmet, but this is much darker.

One of these days, the NFL is going to have to death penalty one of these rapists/child abusers. Rookie punter seems like a good place to start.

The story is.... I mean, it's just awful. Terrible. And it appears to be pretty open and shut.

Watching the 49ers preseason game on Amazon - Michaels and Herbstreit are already a great pairing. Money well spent for Amazon.

I’m all for due process in the courts but if I’m the Bills owner I cut this guy immediately based on what’s already in the public record. Plenty of non-probable rapists who can kick a ball far. That statement they made is gross.

If Florio has this right, the league can’t discipline him under the personal conduct policy. It’s on the Bills to show him the door. Which they should do immediately. What he’s already acknowledged/admitted to is very bad. If the details are all true, it’s absolutely appalling.

Why the fuck are almost all the stories taking about "gang rape". So inappropriate and unnecessary and disrespectful to the victim (who, no doubt, will be reading about it and may be identified).

How else should they report it? It sure reads like that’s what it was. And the cruel, venal nature of such a crime probably shouldn’t be white-washed.

I know nothing about such things, but is it common to have to wait five hours in a police station before being helped? Particularly a traumatized teenager?
Such a horrid story.

This makes it sound like management asked Araiza if he was guilty, he said "Nope", and that was good enough for them What else could they have realistically examined from their position?

The legal filing is incredibly difficult to read. A life shattered.

I don't know...i just saw this story and was taken aback by it. I was with my wife and sister (both victims of rape...one of this particular heinous variety) and asked and they were disgusted that the headline would read this way.

When my friend’s roommate was gang raped walking home from the train, they got her in pretty quickly, but then spent hours asking what she’d done to make it happen. This was 3 strangers in an alley. Then she killed herself. So, I guess my point is - could be worse!
