That's crazy. I think my YouTube was less than $300 (included early renewal). I don't know why anyone with Apple TV would pay that instead of just getting through YouTube.

Edit - okay it's true that that's the price via Apple, but that's not the price anywhere else. I see it being reported in many places that "NFL Sunday Ticket is $680!!!1!", and that's not true.

It also has nothing to do with the lawsuit. They were going to charge as much as they could to maximize profits either way.

Indeed. For those not aware, NBA league pass for the upcoming season is $110, and you get more than 4x as many games.

not as comparison to sunday ticket - just popping in to say league pass blows. 2024 and you still can’t get a functioning streaming app
