I don’t watch a lot of commercial TV either; I didn’t actually realize it was the same actor until I just looked something up.

The guy’s got skills! Also: I can’t recognize anyone.
Oh he’s one of my favorite actors. Dude is tremendously talented. I assume you know who is dad is?

Those of you downplaying the ref talk are overlooking the fact that the smith catch wasn’t a catch. That was a MASSIVE missed call directly linked to 7 pts

How is Josh Johnson a better option for your roster than any number of D1 quarterbacks that went undrafted the last few years? He is legitimately awful.

Am I hearing things or did Burkhardt say that the SF interception really hurt? What interception?

I have a Fire stick and I hate it. Give me a Roku, Apple TV or Chromecast over it any day. Unless you’re using Kodi to steal things. Then I get the intent.

My curiosity is piqued: What does it get you that Chromecast doesn’t?
It's must faster and way less buggy. It never crashes.

The Chromecast has a great remote but it's very laggy and buggy. You would be amazed at how much more consistent the FireStick is.

No one’s overlooking that. It was an awful call, compounded by Shanahan stupidly not challenging it.

I wonder if the 49ers are regretting not pushing to get Jimmy G ready as a backup. Maybe not medically possible, but it seemed close.

If Purdy ruptured his UCL (and potentially injured the overlying flexor tendon) he may just not be able to throw. Sometimes ulnar nerve issues transiently on a play like that too. What a bad break.

Can a call be awful if nobody on earth knows it’s wrong until 5 minutes after it happened?
I noticed it might not have been a catch right away. And I’m not that bright. You could see the ball go under his belly. To me that always requires at least a peak to see if he held it.

This. A challenge there would’ve been a blind gamble.
I was saying on my couch that any time a WR begs the team to hurry to the line like that, it means that he’s pretty sure he didn’t catch it. It’s a big tell.

If a defensive player sees an offensive player rushing because he may not have caught it, the only option is to fake a cramp or something to buy time.

It sucks and I hate the thought of it, but what other choice do they have?

Yep, and the 49ers could have challenged it ... and didn't. This has been discussed.

Also, it's not downplaying the ref talk ... it's downplaying the whiny bullshit nature of it

Thats not even a reliable indicator, teams will run to the line on plays that are cleanly made to force the other team to potentially waste challenge and sometimes the player is just wrong.
Sure but not in this case. He was frantic. And like I said, the ball went under his belly. Good chance it hit the ground in those cases.

Even a blind gamble is worth taking when you’re talking about a 7 point swing in the biggest game of the year. It’s not like these coaches ever use their timeouts correctly later anyways.

My firestick, crashes way more than Roku I have in another room, not sure why.
I bought an Apple TV on Prime Day and it’s so much faster than my FireStick. I don’t side load so it was an easy decision to switch. I also got a FireCube for my spare room but haven’t hooked it up yet. Hoping it’s more responsive than the stick.
